Updated Protest Numbers (5/13/09)
Based on the feedback from my last post regarding the number of registrations for the protest, I thought that I’d try and post an updated map every week or two.
Without further ado, here is the latest:

At present, there are currently 3,467 complete registrations for protest. However, as the map shows, there are still a variety of areas across the country that aren’t represented. If you know people in these areas, please urge them to try and and attend, or at least tell their friends.

SUGGESTION: Folks in the area might want to rent a room or open their home (for a reasonable fee) to out-of-towners coming for the rally. It would help them make house payments that month, and will certainly alleviate what I see as a potential venue shortage, if you end up having the turnout we are all hoping for. Also, it will be a way for people with similar beliefs to share and make new contacts from across the country. We are trying to organize a group to come from Dallas and sure could use a little help and a friendly face when we get there.
I replied to the wrong post just now, although Mr. Packard’s post is just as important. I am interested in helping to oganize lodging for folks who wish to attend the rally in DC but would be hampered by cost. To whom in the movement can I speak about this?
I live in Hitchcock, Texas (near Galveston) and I am involved with the We Surround Them – Houston group (a Glenn Beck 9.12 Project group). I don’t think anybody in the group knows about this march because they are talking about organizing a march on Washington so I am going to inform them about this planned march and maybe we can get together with the Dallas group and charter a bus or something. I would love to go to Washington but it would have to be by the most inexpensive method possible (preferably with a group). Would you let me know how we can contact you? Thanks.
Yes Please try and have your group join us. We must have a large turn out. I have 8 people committed to going but not all have registered. I am pulling my daughter out of school for this history making event. Other sites have very large numbers going as well. I have printed out the flyer and pass them out every where I go. I am using the flyer as my profile picture on my facebook.
I would love to go to DC but have no plans of yet and do not want to fly. Anyone that would share a ride and or room, I would be more than happy to give my fair share. It will be an historical event and I feel strongly that I need to be there.
325 374 6666 Would love to go if I can go in a group
I, too, would like to go as a group from Texas. Please let me know if something’s being planned.
Thanks,
Kathy
Hi,
I live in Fort Worth, Texas. My husband and I are retired and have a 5th wheel. It would like to know if there are other retirees in our area that are interested in carvaning to DC.

I tell everyone I can about committing themselves to this project.
Hi, We Farmers need some Tea Party support to fight the latest Draconian Program out of Washington. It will affect everyone who wants even one chicken. Its called N.A.I.S. For more info please visit nonais.org or farmandranchfreedom.org . thank you, Ralph Packard
Excellent suggestion. Cost and the need to make a living are the two factors that hamper attendance by conservatives at these events. (Somehow these factors never seem to prevent liberals from rallying.) I am interested in helping to organize such a program. Whom do I speak to?
Libs live off of our hard work. They do not work or work as professional protesters AKA acorn (The nuts)
I’m buying property on the border of Grant & Baker Counties in Oregon.
In Malheur Forest, there’s Enviro’s Protesting to FORBID the Cattle Ranchers
and their Cattle from grazing. They won’t allow the Cattle to eat anything, and
many are starving. Anyone interested in this terrible problem can read the
latest on this at the ‘Wallowa County Chieftain’ online newspaper.
I can see wanting to protest land, but STARVING animals is INSANE!
I do believe these Protesters are Paid Professionals, i.e., Anarchists out to
make a Buck and Socialists willing to pay them, as usual.
We were so disturbed by this post (not by the poster) because of the extremes the “tree huggers” are going to. To distrupt people’s income for FISH? Trout, no less? This is crazy.
We found a link to a post saying the Judge ruled in FAVOR of the Ranchers (thankfully they sought a lawsuit) and the “tree huggers” were dismissed (this time, they have a lot of backnig $$).
For the newspaper article you posted you had to have a membership or subscription.
Here’s the link we found saying the Judge ruled in favor of the ranchers. We live in a village so ranching won’t seem to matter much to us, BUT it DOES because this is how environmentalists are trying to control our INCOME, PROPERTY, the ECONOMY and our rights to personal property, capitalism and economy. I’m so glad Americans are WAKING UP!

Ralph, my daughters and I have contacted our reps to voice our NO NAIS opinions.
Sorry, here’s the links:

Please! This has got to be stopped! Please, everyone, listen to Ralph. He’s right! We aren’t farmers (wish we were) but this AFFECTS each of us. The government is trying to control every aspect of our lives.
This means if you want to buy eggs, chickens, beef, etc from a farmer you may not be able to. They want to track all the animals. WHO is going to protect the farmers? We need to support them because without them….we DON’T eat! They work hard, long hours, are paid pittance but do it for the love of the work and are true Americans.
This needs our attention too. Just GET involved. Let them know you aren’t going to accept this. This is a way to control the food supply and you need to know that. This will eliminate the smaller farms. AS the bumper sticker of a farmer says, “No Farms. No food.”
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Ralph
I’ve been working on getting support for HR 1207 since the April 15 tea parties, and I’ve just now found this site. Some of my friends here in Augusta, GA have been asking me “When are we going to DC!!??” This site has a solid agenda and excellent sponsorship. The word will get out fast and with the results of inflation looming, these numbers are bound to go up rapidly. I encourage everyone to provide a link to the registration page to everyone you know!
I cannot make it to the demonstration, but like to be represented…can I be adopted by a person that will be attending to represent me by name or any other way?
Also, perhaps others would like to be adopted???

Florida
Bill,
What a great idea! IF we go we’ll “adopt” you. This would be a great idea. How would you like to see it work?
I will be attending the rally and am trying to get a group big enough for a bus. I am in the Southern part of PA and have no one to collaborate with. Unfortunately, I am not as computer literate as most, so I don’t navigate all of these sites very well. Please contact me and maybe we can work together. My email is gen_jackson2000@yahoo.com. Thanks, Gen!
Any busses headed to DC via the 80 freeway through Elko, NV with empty seats?
My cousin in Plano (just outside Dallas) and I here in Oregon are going to DC for the 912 Project. Our flight and hotel reservations are booked. We’re staying at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. Q. Coleman, feel free to contact me at brownclan83@charter.net. I can hopefully connect you with folks in the Dallas area who are also going.
I’ve booked a room in sight of the Capitol. I’ll either drive up from the Keys or fly, not sure which. Does anyone else in the Keys want to connect and work on expanding participation?
FYI…more info can be found on http://www.resistnet.com under ” taxpayer march on D.C.” There is someone trying to coordinate a train car(s) from Miami all the way north and others with info on bus travel. Hope to see y’all there…have my hotel reservation at the Hyatt.
Laura, I saw your post on another site. I might be interested in rooming with you if your friends doesn’t go and my friend doesn’t go. Would you please keep me posted? I would like to stay at the Hyatt and might go in as early as 9/9 and stay until 9/15. Thanks. Karen
hi, if u drive, maybe u can pick m up in N C i am looking 4 transportation or a group to take or go with. let me know
Lily,
There are buses that are leaving in Raleigh, Durham. Where are you located in NC? Check out this site for additional information: http://www.ncfreedom.us/. We will see you there!
1) I would get Fox News to be aware of this, and chat it up. They helped ensure a huge draw to the last tea parties!
2) Organize and bus in, particularly with the Veterans we are not happy with Washington now anyway. You can create a special place for them to meet in front of the DHS building so they can wave to Napolitano while they are there. Consider a “drive a wounded warrior” program for those Vets that can’t get themselves to Washington easily.
3) I stumbled on this site by complete coincidence, and I am on the net 12 hours a day with my job – so getting the site affiliated with Limbaugh, Beck, etc to get the word out is going to be key.
I will be there – just giving some other ideas…
I am not trying to minimize attendance with a suggestion but many people would like to go cant for many reasons. I liked the adoption idea how about contributions to defray travel cost to those that are going? Yes I know once you talk money there are all kinds of rules. Another idea may be for far away sites to run simultaneous tea parties locally and ???? broadcast their tea party via the web? Worst case post to site later? Of course FOX covered us pretty good on 4/15. Another would be for people all over to sign a petition supporting tea party movement. Just denote high level goal and principles ie lower taxes less spending no more bailout, smaller government etc
We are holding a tea party in Perry, Florida on July 4th for seven surrounding counties. We plan to sign a double-sided trailer mounted billboard petition for the 912 Protest. This 5′ x 15′ billboard would be pulled to Washington with possible signing stops along the way. At this time we have not worked out the graphics but generally the billboard would be vinyl covered and signed with waterproof markers. Each signer could add his personal message along with his hometown.
Prior to the September event we may park it in front of some congressmen’s office for a day or in front of the County Commission meeting etc. The general theme would be “Government……The time has come to stop the wasteful spending”. Our committee would like to see hundreds of others make the trip.
If others are interested in a similar plan please contact me through our Webster at http://taylorteaparty.com. Also we could use some help from some great graphics people to design these billboards. What do you think?
OK so now Governor Rendell of PA wants to raise the State income tax by 1/2%. I already wrote him opposing any sort of tax increase. When is this madness going to stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
I am organizing a bus trip leaving out of Reading,PA on 9/12/09. Anyone in the Reading,PA region interested in attending reply to the post.
Me and my father are looking to go…is there still room?
time of complaining should lead you to getting involved and doing something to get our country and constitution back.no one should be so blind as not to see that your president has absolutly no respect for the constitution as evidenced by his actions and nomoral guts to abide by the oath he took.
HI i am interested in organizing a bus trip to Washington coming from the Cerry Hill, N.J. area….anyone instered….thats July 4th……WOW!…glad I found this sight…..Not hearing much about 4th protest…maybe thats good…..we’ll surprize them………Barbara Ann Bovino
Hi……..I just made a comment and sent it off too fast without reading it…The town is Cherry Hill, New Jersey….and the word is surprise……Have a great day…….

ANY FOLKS FROM KANSAS GOING LET ME KNOW. I WANT A GROUP TO GO.
Would love to see an updated count. It is important to know what the count is as we spread the word.
I feel we must be there. What this government is doing is criminal..Treasonious even!
I’d like to organize a group from the Twin Cities…interested should contact me at northdevelop@comcast.net. We’ve got to make our voices heard before we lose our FREEDOM!
Dennis
USAF Retired, for the life of me I can not understand what has happened to this country!
I am so scared not only for my self but my wife, children & grandchildren!
This march should have been years ago before this Giant Machine took power in this country!
I have spent most of my life fighting agenst governments like this. Why in the HELL did everybody vote or not vote to allow this to happen to our country? I have many ideas on how to STOP THIS TRANICAL GOVERNMENT IN IT’s TRACKS! Please write me at promodeler40@yahoo.com if you would like to know more. Sincerely Shawn
Anyone from Kansas who intends to go to DC leave a message at msplaceddemocrat.com.
Thanks.
I expect to be in Washington on September 12th~ We have to have a show of numbers to ‘maybe’ get our message across.
Can someone tell me, please, why the protest is planned at a time that the congress will not be in session? Why aren’t we waiting until after October 15th when our congressmen will be in town?
because:
9/11/01 – Never Forget!
Officially it’s Patriot’s Day on the calendar
We have a 9/12 mentallity, we are awake to the reality of evil in this world.
And 10/15 doesn’t mean anything (yet!)
YOU ARE SHOWN AS THE PRIMARY SPONSOR FOR THE 9-12 WASHINGTON PROTEST. I HAVE AN IDEA THAT WILL HELP ALL OF US GET OUR MESSAGE ACROSS. NOT EVERYONE THAT WOULD LIKE TO GO CAN GO, SCHEDULING, HEALTH , FINANCES, ETC.,DICTATE OTHERWISE. IF THE PEOPLE WHO CAN’T GO BUT SUPPORT THE PROTEST WOULD EACH CONTRIBUTE TO A PERSON GOING TO
REPRESENT THEM THAN WE CAN GET A LOT MORE PEOPLE THERE, ALSO
HAVE THE PERSON GOING WEAR A T SHIRT WITH THE NAME OF THEIR SUPPORTERS WRITTEN ON IT IN BIG SIGNATURES WITH INDELIBLE MARKER.
WE WOULD NEED TO HAVE THIRTEEN SUPPORTERS ON EACH T SHIRT TO REPRESENT THE ORIGINAL THIRTEEN COLONIES. THEN WHEN THE PRESS SEES 1 MILLION PEOPLE THERE, IT WOULD REALLY BE 13 MILLION.
PLEASE CONTACT THE MEDIA AND WHOEVER ELSE TO SPREAD THIS IDEA , I THINK IT WOULD MULTIPLY ALL OUR EFFORTS
A PATRIOT IN IDAHO
Patriot in Idaho,
Just returned from staying with my daughter for 2 months in Nampa. Nice country…..
I think your Idea is great….I am going to Washington DC for the march and would be proud to wear a shirt with your name on it. I don’t need any donations or funds to go I would just be proud to use my back, side or front to show how many people would like to be in Washington that day but because of other reasons can’t be there….Maybe some who are laid-off and would like to go but can’t and want to be heard…… I would be happy to represent any 13 people who want to send me their names and home towns.
BJ
To make the Sept. 12th event more “eventful”, may I suggest the following:
1. A day or two before the 12th, have Primary Meeting areas OUTSIDE of Washington where encapments of Protestors are Gathering. Much like an approaching invading Army might do. Set up Camps and Define Routes which will be taken once the advancement on the Capital is put in motion. Prime areas may include, Gettysburg, PA, Manassas, VA, etc. All battlegrounds, and all very Steeped in the history of this country as Turning Points in her history.
2. On the 12th, turn the incoming freeways into parking lots. Amass vehicles on major Interstates and Highways. Obey all Traffic Laws, but preserve your fuel by moving at a very modest pace as the movement approaches its target.
3. Identify and assemble smaller groups at Senator/Congress households in and around D.C. These groups would be pressed into service to Chronicle the Interrogation of each member of Congress on their stance related to the Constitution. Again, Obey all Local Laws, but demand access, as this will be a Saturday, and everyone knows that Congress doesn’t work on Weekends, unless they are voting on their own pay increases.
4. When in D.C., remember decorem. Assemble peacefully, yet forcefully. I can imagine “regiments” of protestors (100 to 500 strong, each) being sent one-by-one, from Lincoln to Capitol Hill. A nice scenario would be to arrange by State with a large Flag at the front of each regiment, for example. (another would be by generation)
5. Ammunition. Each protestor MUST Leave behind a Personal Letter or Demand at the Capitol. One way of performing such an act would be similar to the processions we see when a former President lies in State. A well-organized procession, by State or Generation, single-file. There would remain 50 (if by State)Piles of Letters at the Designated dropping point on the Steps of the Capitol. Since Postage has gone up, American preferred delivery method for a matter of this Importance is “Hand-Delivered”. To make the submission more appealing, a demand on Congress for individual “receipts” shall be requested in advance.
Well, that’s my contribution to this monumental event. What’s Yours?
David
Ohio
David,
My comments on your suggestions…
1. Made me cry! Being a CA native, I did not “get” the history until I moved out here to Northern VA. I love Gettysburg and Manassas. That would be an amazing thing to do.
2. I think that is going to happen anyways, considering all the buses and cars coming out from all over the country for this! I am so excited!!
4. One of our tea party members here (I moved to WV now) has purchased a WV flag and we will be gathering at the flag!!
5. I LOVE the idea of leaving the letters on the steps of congress. I wonder how we can get that going?
Updated registration numbers are going be critical if this is going to succeed. As I write t his, it is mid-July and the last update is from the end of May.
Some may interpret this as lack of interest and the momentum will die.
PLEASE update the registrations! I’m referring others to your site who are interested in marching. Please don’t let me down!
.”More than 9000 registered for the March on Washington!

We have an update for you. More than 9000 people have registered for the September 12th March on Washington! I’m sure the number is actually higher, since not everyone is registering on this website, but this gives you a sense of how big this event is going to be. Please be sure to tell your friends and family to register for the March on Washington, and join our ning site so that you can connect with others in your area who are planning to
attend.

Better advertising needs to occur. Radio talk show host should be talking about this now so people can make plans. The average Joe out there doesn’t even know about this. This still hasn’t reached the masses. Where is the fox news coverage that this is being planned?
I think you can forget about Fox News covering this didn’t anyone notice their wasn’t a word mentioned on the 4th of July teaparties Hannity was the only one that mentioned it and if you blinked you would have missed that..Also wasn’t it odd they all took the same weeks of Glen Neil and Bill O .I think were on our own. I think they have had their orders.
Anyone chartering a bus to DC from New Hampshire?
Hello is anyone planning on driving from California? We were thinking of flying from the Bay Area in California- but thought it might be fun to get a bus and drive with like-minded people. Any takers?
I can’t make it for medical reasons, but I would be eternally grateful if someone would represent the memory of my son Sgt. Dustin DeCol, U.S. Army. who passed on September 19, 2006 after serving 2 tours in Iraq. He was a true patriot, who loved his country dearly. I am saddened by what has happened to our great country since Obama & company have taken over. Believe me when I say my son would have been all for all what everyone is doing to save this country from this Thugocracy that has stolen it from us…We need to get our country back. Anyway, I am so happy to have found this site and will be continually keeping up with it. Anyone that would do this for me please let me know @ pops_decol@yahoo.com
Where are all the updates on what is happening? When will speakers be posted? How many are registered. Nothing on this site gets updated in a timely manner. We are all gung ho and not hearing anything. C’mon people, give us an update.
I went to the April 15th Tea Party in Salt Lake City, and it was amazing! I felt like I was living in America again. I REALLY REALLY want to go to Washington DC, but I just don’t have the money. I’ll be there in spirit and defending the cause here at home and on facebook.
Ben
I don’t care if Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, all the media (including Fox News) and even the sponsors of this March on Washington website abandon us, I AM STILL GOING AND WILL BE CARRYING THE GADSDEN FLAG!!!!
Why in the heck are they putting the doctors’ protest on Friday when anybody who has a job will be out & practicing medicine??
I’ll be at the march on the capital the following day, but I’m WORKING on Friday!
My husband and I will be on one of 3 buses that are going to the March in DC from Staunton, Va. Looking forward to going, and hoping for a huge turnout. I think I heard Glen Beck say he would be covering the event. Anyone else hear that?
Anyone from Massachusetts ( Boston area or north ) planning to go to dc march, would like info. on transportation? as i am trying to attend . or may drive ??

Me and my wife live in Laurel Md, very close to DC. We are willing to help anyone who would need it. We live in an apartment and are fairly poor, but we can help with navigating the DC Metro, and with getting around town. We know some good places to stay the night.
