Map Update: Over 2,000 Registrations in 7 days!
With only seven weeks remaining until the 9/12 March on Washington, I thought I would take a few minutes to update everyone on the incredible progress we’ve seen in just the last week.
Since I last posted our update map, we’ve seen well over 2,309 and registrations come through! That’s over 300 registrations per day! In total, we now have well over 14,000 registrations for the protest.

Once again, these are excellent numbers! But I’m hoping the growth we’ve seen over the past seven days is just the beginning.
As was the case last time, here are a few things you can do to help make this event grow even more:
1.) If you haven’t registered for the 9/12 march using the EventBrite site, please click here to do so.
2.) Join the official ning group by clicking here! With this site, you can interact with attendees from your own state, or around the country.
3.) Invite your friends! We could do all the marketing in the world for this event and still not have the success that a simple invitation from a friend would have.
4.) If you cant come, consider making a contribution to the event (it’s even tax deductible!). These events aren’t cheap, and neither is the promotion needed to make sure it’s a huge success. Simply stated, we cant do this without your help. Every dollar you contribute will go towards ensuring this event is a huge success. I would personally like to see us shut Washington down! Its not inconceivable we could have 2 million, I certainly hope so. I doubt many people are registered who plan to go. I am going with a group of 6 guys from the N. Mississippi area, south of Memphis. We need to get more attention on this event from all the alternative media. There’s obviously lots of excitement and anger across the US!
I agree that the numbers are way low. People are focused and getting creative on everything from transportation to the march. It is a very exciting time..and I believe we will make history!!

I don’t think there will be 2 million but the “mob” will easily run in the tens of thousands. I don’t think we can rely on registrations to give a reliable estimate of the attendance.
There will be those who will NOT be able to come to DC on Sept 11/12. Consider these action items & post feedback, please.
-Going to your townhall with appropriate picket signs, Gasden flags, etc.
-Gathering on busy intersections for a hour or two or more with appropriate signs, etc.
-Calling calling and calling local and national offices of your 2 U.S. Senators and 1 U.S. House Rep., expressing your concerns firmly but politely.
-Protesting at Fed Gvt offices nationwide
We are asking residents that can’t go with us to write letters to our reps and we will hand deliver them when we meet with them.
I agree… I registered over a month ago.. and many had really not known much about the march.. however with all the recent media coverage of these town hall meetings, the word is spreading.. people are angered and insulted by how we have been portrayed as the “un” american mobs… there are many here in Michigan that want to go but cannot afford it.. so for those of us that can swing it, we need to go and have our voices heard… it is hard for me to imagine that these people can live in such a bubble in washington… they have their limo’s, there aids, and they probably don’t even have to carry cash… they have all forgotten what it is like to be an american citizen everyday… they have lost touch, and these people are making decisions for us.. I am in the health care field and we are very worried what will happen to our elderly patients and our professions. If this thing passes not only will it devastate the economy (more), but we will see indigent care rise, homeless rise, morbidity and mortality rise, and eventual economic collapse.
With all of that being said, why is it that a simple average american as myself see this, and these so called experts do not?

people who would be willing to march for them, because it would not be
prudent for them to put themselves out there.

I see a cartoon play in my head when I think of this health care debate. I see that the left and the right have been out of control for a very long time. I also see a giant rising up and many try to shout him down saying you’re stupid and you’re crazy and you’re Astroturf. But this doesn’t stop the giant it just makes him madder. So as he rises up, many who tried to shout him down begin to run in fear, seeing just how big he really is. Now standing the giant begins to stomp and squish all who shouted him down. Finally coming to the one who is at the center of all this he picks him up in his mighty hand bringing him closer to his head, as if to listen to see what this person might have to say for all the bad he has done. Hoping the leader might admit he was wrong and all could be ended, the Giant waits to hear what is said, but all hope is ended when out of the persons mouth comes lies and spin. telling the giant you don’t know what is good for you and I was doing this for you. This makes the giant so mad he screams so load all who are their cover their ears in pain. Having heard enough the Giant just squishes the man into jelly. Seeing this all of the supporter of their leader run and hide under rocks only coming out only to snipe every so often, living in fear for the rest of their lives of the day the sleeping giant was awoken.
Visualizing murder. That’s one way to feel better about yourself I suppose.

I opened up my room to a man I don’t even know (I’m female). I met him on the AARP chat boards…he’s married…I have 2 beds in the room. Don’t worry–we’ve been talking for a long time and I talked to his wife as well! He couldn’t go otherwise because he has been laid off & lives in Texas. He’s using frequent flyer miles to get there & I’m providing the room for him!

I hate to burst your enthusiasm but the MSM is a political arm of the DNC and will make a mockery of this event no matter how many people show up. And can you imagine the things they will say if people like Limbaugh show up to speak. Limbaugh and others are staying silent for a reason. There are already enough lies about who’s organizing potests against this administration. Just look at the health care “mobs” and the “astroturf” comments. The MSM is playing the public like a fiddle and most are too stupid to notice.

You are absolutely right Andy, but that has been the way of the Saul Alinsky playbook the community organizers use. There are three steps: Isolate, Ridicule and Destroy. This is what they used on Sarah Palin are they will continue to use this. Usually, when you are doing something right you can expect a lot of opposition–nothing good comes easy. It is energizing to me—makes me want to work harder!! I have those days sometimes when I wonder if it is worth it, and then I just think about the soldiers fighting every day for the freedoms our country has been blessed with—and my sacrifice seems small.
I want to go to Washington so bad just to stand in the gap for for those who cannot. I don’t know if I can get the money to go, but if I can’t my spirit and prayers will be with them. I am so proud of this movement; this is the uphill battle our founders had to fight.

I cannot go, I have to work and it isn’t a job where I can just take off whenever, particularly around that time. My idea…forget the signs, they aren’t working….EVERYONE SHOULD TAPE THEIR MOUTHS SHUT, we are being silenced…and that would be the message. Wear your t-shirt that says what you want it to say, but tape your mouth shut and be very peaceful. People all over could tape their mouths shut that day (besides when at work of course). Just an idea and a way everyone could get involved, if they can’t be there. Wear it shopping, wear it wherever.
Oh yeah…and in Indiana Byron Hill’s town hall meetings aren’t open to the public, only people that are invited are allowed to attend.
Hill told the Washington Post this week: “I’m trying to control the event. What I don’t want to do is create an opportunity for the people who are political terrorists to blow up the meeting and not try to answer thoughtful questions.”

Baron Hill is our representative..we are so blessed…NOT He is dishonest and deceptive..and a coward to boot!! He’s trying to control alright…not sure that is working out for him. You can run but you can’t hide!!
One county over is Rep. Mike Pence. What a difference a few miles makes. He does his job..has awesome values and represents the people. This is why I comment frequently that ALL politicians are NOT created equal!!

Same advice, Amanda. . .visit goooh.com. Kick ALL of them out. All we now have (last I checked) is our vote. Exercise it, get involved, don’t give up. If we maintain the mindset that we have to vote Democrat or Republican (lesser of the two evils) and never think outside the box, nothing will ever change – they are career politicians only out to get reelected to preserve themselves, not our country. That is the definition of insantity: doing the same action over and over again and expecting different results! GOOOH needs groups formed in each district throughout the US to get a GOOOH candidate on the ballot for 2010. It will take all of us giving it our best efforts.
This is something worth fighting for. Obama, Pelosi and party shouldn’t have gotten as far as they have, or in OBs case, shouldn’t been given such power over people with his lack of experience, socialist views, etc.. but if we don’t try to get our voices heard over-and-again and just leave it to the govt then they will do so much more damage that it will be devasting for decades to come. No, OB and Pelosi won’t listen and will probably spew more anti-American garbage at the protestors and yes the liberal media is going to have a hayday at picking on the protestors but the message needs to be sent and don’t worry/fear about what others say. Think of the million man march, did they worry about what anyone said or what anyone thought of them? They had a good cause and we have a good cause. FDR said “the only thing to fear, is fear itself”.

I went to a town hall meeting in Denton Texas on Saturday August 8th to hear Congressman Burgess talk about Health care and other issues. I saw maybe 1000 people there.. I left a flyer of the Washington March in September with them to let everyone know that they should come and make their voices heard. I wasn’t able to make copies to pass out…did not have enough time, money, or enough ink…but hope they were told about this….If I may make a suggestion ….if anyone goes to a town hall….print these flyer’s out and take them with you ….to get the message out there about this March on Washington…I also would like to see our represatatives that have made it on the cable new’s show’s…mention the March…that would get the word out quicker to more people..we need to carry signs also about how the Media is playing us up as an “angry mob”…looking forward to seeing you guys in Washington
I feel like the reason Fox and other conservative radio shows haven’t said much about the 9-12 March is that they want the government to see this is from THE PEOPLE. They are just now starting to get that, I think, and some still are in denial. Maybe someone needs to start a PAC and let us all donate and get a tv ad or something inviting people to join us. I am so hoping this just grows and grows to a million. It is amazing to me that just a year ago this 9-12 project was started. Just shows that we still have a lot of great Americans that are strong and patriotic. God will heal this land,, HE promised–and he cannot break his promises. We must come back to him and re-dedicate this country to being ONE NATION UNDER GOD like it was intended. That is the reason we were so blessed for so long. Why can’t people just see that??
I am going to print up some of the flyers (great idea) and take them to a couple of meetings. My two Congresspeople in Central Florida didn’t hold any meetings and wouldn’t take any appointments either. They don’t care–it’s so obvious. I have got some seriously rude emails from Senator Bill Nelson—-but I just keep on writing ‘em.
Wouldn’t it be great if there were as many protestors there as there were on Inaugation Day.

For example, my Aunt knows I have nothing to do with being a part of a GOP mob. Obama will become more and more desperate and he will resort to all he knows-CHICAGO STYLE POLITICS. It will be entertaining to say the least. My duty is to continue to educate the uninformed and the uninvolve. If I end up on Obama’s “fishy” list-Oh well. What’s he going to do about his stupid list-audit may taxes (our family operates ethically in paying our taxes unlike his entourage), put me on a no-fly list-good luck, come and arrest me at my house-seriously doubt it. And since we keep voting them in, I guess we do work for them.

We had somewhere between 8-10,000 at the Aug 1 rally in Columbus, OH. There are 12 of us going to DC from our little town here in Ohio. I am hoping for huge numbers in DC, 50,000 minimum! I mean come on… you can get 90,000 – 100,000 for an OSU home football game…. surely with all the latest going on with the fishy lists and town hall thugs…. we can do better than that… can’t we?
250,000 people at least! The Steelers and Penguins have 350,000!

Have you guys heard the new song from Muse called Uprising. It could become the theme song for this march. Google the song. It’s very appropriate for what’s going on and become the song of the resistance. Best wishes to all who go to Washington. Responsibilities at home are holding me back but I’ll be with you in spirit. I’ve already told people about the march and have gotten back some positive feedback.
With all the legislation “the won” has on tap for the remainder of this year, we need to have at least 1,000,000 citizens in D. C. for the March. We must get some of the liberal Senators and Representative to change and stop these bills. I am not sure how.
How about a short update on our progress every couple of days? Is someone working with the media to mention on their shows? We need to get this out to the people attending the town hall meetings. We need them in D. C.
So far I have six of my family going. Every couple of days I am sending out a message for other family and friends to join. I am going to bring a Gadsden Flag.
Are there any restrictions on flags or signs? How about our permit? Does it have a limit on the number of Marchers? Have a safe trip.

This is on my 23rd Birthday!!!
I live in the Washington area now. When I lived here in the ’70s the hippies were constantly demonstraing here but not much resulted. Finally, in about 1972, there was a huge demonstration here when Mom & Pop from across America came to Washington in their Sunday-Go-To-Meeting-Clothes to tell Wasahington they were fed up with the war and wanted it finished. There was an immediate change in the mood in Washington after that and it was the beginning of the end for Viet Nam, among other things. Washington needs that same message agin.
Go, Patriots! (And I’m not talking football.) I am so excited about the 9/12 March! My health is not good, and I cannot go, but am planning on sending a small donation in my place. I hope and pray that at least a couple million show up! We’ve got to get this Congress and President to realize that we’re not paid rabblerousers, but sincere, concerned Americans who vote! For too long we have watched as our politicians and lobbyists have given all our freedoms away just to appease people coming in from other countries, in which they can not stand to live in anymore, so they can come in and have the audacity to demand that we give in to their ideals, if they are not happy here, than as the Austrlian said – they can go back to their own countries and see how far they would get with all their demands – Ha! – not too far I’d imagine. But what are we doing giving into them, when we are the ones whom have shed our own blood to preserve OUR ideals and language. It’s absurdity to the enth degree!!! We are fighting to preserve our constitution and our freedoms which are now under attack from our very own government and it is time we push back and be – SILENT NO MORE!

I tried to register this morning, but was unable to do so. Couldn’t connect. Will try again later. I’m driving up from Charlotte, NC with three other people. The CharlotteTeaParty is also chartering buses. Estimated 2500 turned out for last tea party on July 4th. Hope a hefty percentage of them are going on the buses. Don’t have a number yet. Have seen messages from others in the Charlotte area that are driving in convoy & know the buses will meet up with a group in Greensboro to go forward. As to famous people showing up, of course, that encourages a larger crowd, but I suspect it dilutes the real message – we are not astroturf . Frankly, I’d be good with the kind of gathering a small community in New Hanover Co. North Carolina held. Senator Kay Hagan, D-NC has been what is being referred to as a “milk carton politician.” She’s been a no show at town hall meetings. So, they held their town meeting with a blow up picture of the senator, spoke their minds, filmed the event, and sent a copy to the senator! American ingenuity at its finest!! Whoever shows up, I will be honored to march with you all. You make me proud to be an American. God SAVE America!
We need to reinject morals and values, and common sense back into the American society. Each individual should be able to govern his/herself. We can’t allow the govt. to control the private sector, because they have shown an even uglier nemesis: power. They need to remember that they work for us. They shouldn’t be the ones coming up with proposals for legislation. They need only present the facts of the crisis to the people. The private sector CAN come up with solutions. It’s government’s forcible interjection into private business that runs up cost. Don’t listen to any politician today, because they all have been lying to the people. Like the fact that SS, medicare, and medicaid are all going to be bankrupt within the next 5 years, which will probably be more like 2 because the baby boomers are retiring. Had the govt. done what they promised and put SS money into a fund and let the interest compound, we would have a better leg to stand on. Instead, they used that money they way they deemed neccessary. THAT is wrong! They have been out for more and more power since the Great Depression. They realized then that a national crisis is a good way to push legislation through without having to really ask the people. Add that with the fact that they truely believe that they know best, and you’ve got the workings of tyranny. So much now that they just cram bills through before the people get a chance to look at them. That my friend is taxation without representation. The same thing that the Kingdom of Great Britain was doing.
It really is history repeating itself. Our founding fathers, nevermind their personal problems, weren’t fools when it came to noticing tyranny. They wrote an article that to this day stands as the greatest piece of legislation the world has ever known. We are witnessing and realizing that this govt. is no different than that of the British in 1775. If they don’t listen on 9/12, they will surely spark another revolutionary war. I’m not calling for it, but if this continues we will surely lose our freedom. I just hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
The presidents and the media have been lying to you. We are really $58,000,000,000,000 in debt., not 11. The other 47 is what we owe other countries. That’s not including interest that tacks another $300 billion every year. The government keeps asking for money because they have no way to survive. The reserves are gone. There is no secret treasure locked away that Al Gore referred to. They are broke and they need us to make it look like they’re not, or, that we’re not. If the people found out just how bad it was, why there would be an uprising. We need to stop all unneccessary spending now. SS, medicaid, and medicare need to gradually phase back and then be repealed. Let the private sector figure it out, because at least business can’t borrow money from other countries that they never intend on paying back. We have to end all entitlements. The only true purpose of government should be to secure our rights: Life, liberty, the pursuit of happyness, and property. This healthcare bill woke us up to the tyranny because it would infringe on the rights to life, liberty, and property. We could have stayed happy, but who wants to be happy being a dependent slave to the govt.?
We have to start making things again so that we can sell to other countries. Reduce govt. gradually back down where it was intended. Fire, police, and military. We need to because we can’t afford anything else. The free market will flourish, but we need to educate ourselves before dealing with corrupt businesses. Get to know the business owners. Report to an internet website like the better business bureau, set up by the American people for the American people. We can stomp out corruption quicker than the govt. because they never really had the power to begin with. It’s time to show the world what America should have been by now.
We will have to go through some very trying times though, but it will be better with less spending. We might go through something worse than the Great Depression, but we will bounce back higher and shine brighter than ever before. We need not let govt. grow again after that. We are living in historic times for America and this may end up being the most trying. We need to show our children and our children’s children that we could keep the dream of America alive.
That’s why it is dire that we stand up and speak out. On 9/12 we are marching to Washington DC. I hope that you will join us as we let history know that freedom is worth fighting for.

I see a cartoon play in my head when I think of this health care debate. I see that the left and the right have been out of control for a very long time. I also see a giant rising up and many try to shout him down saying you’re stupid and you’re crazy and you’re Astroturf. But this doesn’t stop the giant it just makes him madder. So as he rises up, many who tried to shout him down begin to run in fear, seeing just how big he really is. Now standing the giant begins to stomp and squish all who shouted him down. Finally coming to the one who is at the center of all this he picks him up in his mighty hand bringing him closer to his head, as if to listen to see what this person might have to say for all the bad he has done. Hoping the leader might admit he was wrong and all could be ended, the Giant waits to hear what is said, but all hope is ended when out of the persons mouth comes lies and spin. telling the giant you don’t know what is good for you and I was doing this for you. This makes the giant so mad he screams so load all who are their cover their ears in pain. Having heard enough the Giant just squishes the man into jelly. Seeing this all of the supporter of their leader run and hide under rocks only coming out only to snipe every so often, living in fear for the rest of their lives of the day the sleeping giant was awoken. the end

If each of us would commit to get one other person to go to the March on Washington and get that person to commit to getting another person….it would not take long to get enough of us together to shut that place down…..please do all you can to pass the word…..we need ‘them’ to know we mean business.

I dont know but wish someone would report the latest numbers. My wife is going from Kansas and is picking up a friend from Alabama. Am 70 &I should be retired and able to go with her but continue to work to have insurance for her medical care. I am not complaining as am very greatful to a gracious God for my health and ablility to hold a job, just wish I could go with her, I think it would be so neat to be on Penn Ave with the MOB holding her hand side by side with our “Dont Tread On Me” sign. It sends chills up my back just thinking about it. Holding her hand that is, I have gotten chills doing that for 50 years now. Carry on patriots, I will attend the local Tea Party. I was at the right to life rally in DC in 90.
There was 250,000 people there and CNN report much less than that although they did use the video
and facsimiles of our signs in a bogus report that the pro abortion rally was bigger. At least we will get fair and balanced reporting from FOX.
