We have an update for you. More than 9000 people have registered for the September 12th March on Washington! I’m sure the number is actually higher, since not everyone is registering on this website, but this gives you a sense of how big this event is going to be. Please be sure to tell your friends and family to register for the March on Washington, and join our ning site so that you can connect with others in your area who are planning to attend.

My wife and I will be at Arlington on either Thursday evening 9/10 or Friday 9/11. It is important to me that I honor America’s finest during this trip. To me this march is about the ones who have given the ultimate for our freedom. We must show that we will never forget and stand now ourselves and fight for our freedom before it is to late. Most everyone in this country believes in America. This protest is all about the future of America and how it is being undermined by an out-of-control government. Everyone who can possibly be in D.C. on September 12 should make every effort to be there while we still have the ability to do so without being seen as a “threat”. The more people at the protest, the less likely Big Media can ignore the people and report the outrage that is growing against the federal government.
We need to get the word out about 9/12. We need talk radio and fox news to start talking about this. It would make a big impact if we hat at least one million in attendance. See you on Sept. 12th. with my sign.

You can also go to http://www.teapartyday.com/Locations.aspx and find you’re local tea party organizer. They might already have plans. I know mine does and this is just a small town but they’ve arranged a charter bus and hotel reservations.
I am 23 years old and am so excited to be apart of a movement this meaningful. I have been telling everyone I know about the march and a very interesting video on YouTube called Zeigiest- The Federal Reserve. It was amazing what I learned from that video and is why I am MARCHING. I will do EVERYTHING I can to be there! I am looking forward to meeting everyone there. Where will we be meeting prior to the march? What is the route? Can we bring signs? What is the slogan, or chant? Not only do we need media attention but we need someone who has solutions to these problems. We need someone with FRESH IDEAS to bring Peace of mind and Comfort to our problems! I will be posting my own videos on youtube about the march and why people should attend! I hope to attract people by doing that….We need to get the word out!
Good for you Stephanie!! Our son is 29 and attended his first TEA party over the 4th. He knows a bit about the politcal realm..but mainly came to support his dad and I.
It was two-fold..he learned alot and actually enjoyed the event and watching people who are focused on making a change.

I am SO thrilled to read your comment, along with the many others on here. I wanted to write you to say THANKS for the YOUTUBE link!!! Wow…that was something to watch. The more I learn, the more frightened I get! Yesterday (well, late last night), I decided to take part in the protest outside my area’s office for my Congressman today. I had many of the same questions you are asking here, so I wanted to let you know my experience.
Today was my first time EVER in a “protest,” as I had never in my 30 years of living imagined having to defend my country in this way, but I love America, so I do what I must! For about the first (what seemed like an eternity) 5 minutes, I stood alone. I had two signs (buy the thick foam board kind (about $4.00, )…poke a stick in it, or I found it easier to leave the stick out…they are pretty good sized) with me; one I held, and the other I tilted against my leg. Another awesome woman joined me, and there we stood, for our lunch breaks. It was the most liberating experience I have ever had. EVER. Here are what my signs said…not saying this is totally correct…it’s a work in progress. 1. “Lawmakers, Sign Up For The Plan!,” 2. “Like lines at MVA (or DMV, dept./motor vehicles)? You’re gonna’ LOVE (drew a heart to save on # of words) the E.R.!!!” 3. “Vote NO to Socialized Health Care 4. “Stop Taxing, Start getting results!”
I look forward to seeing you in D.C.! I’ve got 1 friend signed up already to go with me, and more to come! My goal is to have my car full at least!

P.S. I found out about the event today by google…just typed health care protests and the next day’s date, then the state. There are a lot of great “Tea Party” sites.

I want everyone to be aware of an scam organization called http://FreedomsFirst.org, they ar scamming people out of money claiming to be the lead organization, claiming they have the only permit that will allow the March on DC to take place and if FreedomWorks and other organziations do not “work with them” they are essentially hurting themselves. They are collecting money from people and it is alleged that they do not have money for other necessities, i.e. are disorganized and had money stolen from a paypal account, and other assundry things going on; fighting amongs themselves, and other co-sponsors have had to separated themselves from them and no longer support them due to various misconduct.
The have threated liable suits, yet claim they have no money. All I ask is that everyone vet this organization before sending money. I would not be so concerned about them except forthe fact tha thtey are so widely proliferated out there on every website relating to patriotism that they are growing into such a magnitude of percevied legitimacy that they are being recognized as a legitimate organization in that they are listed as co-sponsors and patriots on many radio station sites and talk shot circuits.
Prove me wrong by simply showing proof of the organization’s legitimacy besides just posts that “endorse” them. Show proof that they can lawfully collect the sums of money that would be needed to stage a million man march on Washington.
I will be the first to say I am wrong, but given all that I have observed over a period of over 3 months, I have strong suspicions that cannot be ignored.
Until ANYONE can produce irrefutable evidence substantiating these accusations and rumors against FreedomsFirst.org, I strongly suggest you refrain from further posting such libelous statements. Libel, defamation of character, cyber stalking and harrassment are criminal offenses and any and ALL parties complicit in propagating this misinformation are subjecting themselves to legal action.

They are a new organization and have applied for all the steps. You have time…you can collect and apply as long as when it is all approved it will be accounted for. I say we allow the investigation and remember that we are innocent until proven guilty. They have been working their rears off and do not have the money in donations they have needed for the deposits for their actual rally. Their rally is at another location from ours.
To disregard one of your own national leaders is insulting to us all. Ms. Dawald has stated “I say we allow the investigation and remember that we are innocent until proven guilty.” What we have yet to see, is ANYONE, other than a handful of our volunteers, reporting the FACTS as we know them. And who else has pledged that the final documentation will be posted in public later this week. I have FOIA documents and have stated elsewhere that the US Department of the Interior, National Parks Service is investigating NO ONE! I’m am happy top review any documented evidence that refutes the letter from this federal agency responsible for ALL events on 9/12/2009.
I suggest the dime store lawyers here take your questions directly to the IRS or your own state’s Attorney General. ANYONE can raise money on the Internet for any cause as long as they do not claim tax exempt status as a 501(C)(3) through, (C)(27). Those donations received will be subject to state and federal income tax, unless the organization applies using IRS Form 1023 within 27 moths of formation. If and when granted, all donations received from that date of formation will be tax deductible.
I have posted my tool free number here offering to document ANY evidence of fraud by Mr. Domina and Freedoms First. The phone hasn’t rung one time since then.
I doubt even the most thirsty lawyer in America would even look at this matter seriously. The evidence will be made public midweek, my neutrality still stands in this matter, with the only excepting being, put up or shut up. Spreading rumors gives aid and comfort to our enemies.

Hello we are marching on dc on Sept. 12th My name is Mona Miller and I am working on organizing a convoy. First I am painting my truck with the names of people who want to go but cannot. Here is the plan as it stands today. Freedom (the truck) will start out from Gunners Pool National park campground in Fifty Six, Ar. The morning of Sept. 6th. Avoiding major highways she will travel to Ava, IL to the Johnson Creek campground in the Shawnee National Forest. On the 7th she will be traveling to Salt Lick, KY, to the Twin Knobs Campground in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Then on the morning of the 8th she will head to Morris hill Campground in Covington, VA, in the George Washington National Forest. The last leg of the trip is Greenbelt, MD at the Greenbelt campground Just 13 miles from the White House. This will be our staging area from the evening the 9th thru the 13th. We plan to contact every local news paper, radio station and TV station along our route of our ETA and what we are marching for. I have attached a picture of freedom and what she will look like. Very good idea… here’s mine:
To make the Sept. 12th event more “eventful”, may I suggest the following:
1. A day or two before the 12th, have Primary Meeting areas OUTSIDE of Washington where encapments of Protestors are Gathering. Much like an approaching invading Army might do. Set up Camps and Define Routes which will be taken once the advancement on the Capital is put in motion. Prime areas may include, Gettysburg, PA, Manassas, VA, etc. All battlegrounds, and all very Steeped in the history of this country as Turning Points in her history.
2. On the 12th, turn the incoming freeways into parking lots. Amass vehicles on major Interstates and Highways. Obey all Traffic Laws, but preserve your fuel by moving at a very modest pace as the movement approaches its target.
3. Identify and assemble smaller groups at Senator/Congress households in and around D.C. These groups would be pressed into service to Chronicle the Interrogation of each member of Congress on their stance related to the Constitution. Again, Obey all Local Laws, but demand access, as this will be a Saturday, and everyone knows that Congress doesn’t work on Weekends, unless they are voting on their own pay increases.
4. When in D.C., remember decorem. Assemble peacefully, yet forcefully. I can imagine “regiments” of protestors (100 to 500 strong, each) being sent one-by-one, from Lincoln to Capitol Hill. A nice scenario would be to arrange by State with a large Flag at the front of each regiment, for example. (another would be by generation)
5. Ammunition. Each protestor MUST Leave behind a Personal Letter or Demand at the Capitol. One way of performing such an act would be similar to the processions we see when a former President lies in State. A well-organized procession, by State or Generation, single-file. There would remain 50 (if by State)Piles of Letters at the Designated dropping point on the Steps of the Capitol. Since Postage has gone up, American preferred delivery method for a matter of this Importance is “Hand-Delivered”. To make the submission more appealing, a demand on Congress for individual “receipts” shall be requested in advance.

Spent five years in the Capital watching this and that group hold their protests…wasn’t impressed by any of them because its always the same thing: Assemble to hear speeches, then go home.
If folks knew why Washington, D.C. was “built” a certain way, they’d understand the “siege” aspect of my suggested plan. All those round-a-bouts (Circles) were purposely put in the Master Plan by architect L’Fant (sp) to keep invading Armies from moving into the city too swiftly.
I certainly do hope the organizers of this event will give the Media something to cover. Otherwise, we’ll read in the Sunday Washington Post how the Park Service estimates of attendance is different from the Organizer’s estimates… not a REAL story.
The Letter drop is substantial. Having staff from each Congressional Office provide an receipt would be appropriate. Demanding a response In-Writing is ESSENTIAL.
I’ve always been told that Communication requires a Message SENT along with a RESPONSE… simply protesting is not communications, in this connection.

FYI We are going to the Pentagon on the 11th also. You might already know this..things have changed a bit since 9/11 with their visitors policy. If you don’t know about this..go to the Pentagon web-site and follow their instructions. There are no drop by visits anymore. Going through your state representative is a must now. This will be a good reply even if you are aware and have made arrangements, will inform others by reading it.

I would like to see petitions from every State against Cap & Trade and For true health care reform, not government run health care. If a person from every state could present these petition’s to Congress on the 11th, it would be great. Also it would allow those who can’t go to be a big part. States that might not have anyone going could send their petitions to somenone who could present it for them.
Speakers, I would like to hear from experts , on climate change, health care , the Constitution, and an economist on the outlandish spending and what it will mean for the future. What do you think? I have heard enough BS from politicians.

9000 and it’s only July…should and will be lots lots more, I just read a blog from a “PATRIOT IN IDAHO” on the 9-12 sight and he can’t make Washington DC but had a great suggestion send in names of those who can’t attend but want to…..their names and states….each person at the rally wear a tee-shirt with 13 names written in heavy marker on each shirt….. what a way to increase our numbers…I think I’ll try and see if FOX NEWS might pick up on the tee-shirt thing.

I agree 9,000 is nothing..BUT..I’m thinking that is just this one sites #’s. There are bus loads coming in from all corners of the US. I told my husband after you read all the buzz going on…it seems more like 9,000 bus loads instead of 9,000 people. It’s early yet…let’s not let the #’s discourage us.
I also read something a bit ago..where the main organizers had several recent conference calls and are hoping to get us some solid info by the end of next week. I agree…the more info out there..the more interest we will peek. I’m believing we will make history!!!!!!!!

I got a call from the founder Patrick Jenkins and spoke with him for about 40 minutes. He mentioned his desire for our country to return to the Constitution. I listened to his ideas and mentioned our interest in getting a new 9/11 investigation. The next day all of us 9/11 Truth activists who had joined the 9/12 Project website were banned! So much for the Constitution and particularly the First Amendment. This 9/12 group seem to be frauds to me.”

We will be RVing. Is anyone else RVing? Any campground recommendations? We saw Cherry Hill Park, any feedback? We are a family with a 6 year old boy and maybe we can hook up with another family for the kids to share the experience together.
It may be good for the web master to make RVing options available on the “Travel Logistics” portion of the site.
Greenbelt National Park has been mentioned. They said it is close to the METRO. It’s in Maryland I believe.
Cherry Hill Park is very convenient to the Beltway and within a couple of miles of the College Park metro station. I live in the area and can tell you it is a popular campground.
What will this march involve? Will it be just to carry signs like the Tea Parties or will there be a different agenda? I have been to all the tea parties here in Houston but this one should be about more. I can see that carrying signs don’t seem to attract the news media so do you have another agenda to do this?

Let’s start flying car and house flags like we did on 9/12 when everyone bonded together against the terrorists. I’ve come to realize this; the parents of yesterday and today (that’s me) have been so worried about theirs children’s A’s and B’s, high batting averages and winning beauty contest, we’ve failed to educate them in why our government was instituted and what they are doing for us now. It’s time to educate them in politics as it is they who will be left with a mess IF we don’t fix it. I’m taking my 12 year old with me to D.C. and I’m also helping my employees who need a loan. I challenge everyone to do the same. It’s they who will make up the hundreds of thousands that march in the future.

I think the March on Washington is a necessity at this point, however; I am concerned by the lack of one central organization overseeing everything. It is the same with the Tea Parties; it seems like there are many small groups and organizations spread across the country all attempting to reach the same goal: To reinstate The Constitution as the doctrine that dictates the governing of our great country and to put the power back into the hands of those for whom it was written…..the people.
I believe that unless all of these organizations join together and at least set common goals, we will not make headway with what needs to be accomplished. If individuals from all these organizations read these posts, I ask “Why don’t you join forces?” There is power in numbers and if all the individuals involved with these various groups would come together, the impact would be much greater.
I heard about the march in a fleeting moment on the Laura Ingram show, but have not heard anything since. I keep mentioning it to people I know and they want to come, but I had no other reference point. So, I went online and found this website. I have concerns because 9,000 or 19,000 people is not enough. I know many more people would march if they only knew about the march. I have not heard Rush, Sean, Mark Levin or Curtis Sliwa mention the march on their shows.
I am not familiar with any of the above organizations other than Free Republic, but I don’t see The Heritage Foundation, American Conservative Union, American Solutions, Freedom Alliance and others listed as co-sponsors. Have they been contacted? I’m not saying the above groups are not ligitimate, just that all these groups should try to come together in some way as a united front.
The other thing that should happen on September 12 is large groups of people should peacefully demonstrate in front of their representatives’ local offices if they cannot come to Washington. The media should be contacted, though they will likely be unresponsive as they will want to downplay any protest to the current administration, except FOX. Therefore, people should video and upload to YouTube.
Let’s not forget that Congress will attempt to pass much of this legislation we are planning to protest prior to the August recess. If they do, the protest will be too little too late. Mark Levin has a list of the Bluedog Democrats that need to be contacted NOW regarding the health care bill. But don’t stop there; contact as many as you can. Harry Reid is trying to do an end-run on the Defense Authorization Bill with the attached Hate Crimes amendment by as early as Monday of next week.
Contact not only your local representatives, but any and all of them that you can, even out of state. It is difficult to get through the switchboard, so email or fax your comments. Faxing may have a similar effect to leaving those letters on the steps of Congress, which is a great idea. Piles of paper may get noticed. Here’s what works the best: Type out your comments in MSWord, go to the following websites; http://www.house.gov and http://www.senate.gov, look up the representative, then cut and paste your message to as many as you can.
Go for the march; I’ll be there, but please: Will the individuals at the top of these organizations please get in touch with each other, including the groups and others that I mentioned so we can all band together as one well-organized group?

But as I told my brother, He and I are still going even if we are the only two that actually show up. It’s too important to miss. If they had one the next month claiming it was going to be the real “million man” protest I’d show for that one as well.

I agree with Pam. We will all look pretty silly with only 9,000 people at the capitol. I believe Sean, Rush etc.,are not mentioning this until they find out it is a real legitimate and hugh tea party. imagine how foolish they will look talking about this and it fails.

I’m printing and mailing the information about the Flagstaff Tea Party Express stop to about 500,000 people in N. AZ … send letters to the editors, call in talk shows, blog, post on craigslist in your area… there is an incredible amount we can do if everyone does their part.. nitpicking other organizations or protests won’t help get us back on the Constitutional High Road…
