  1. how would I get a flag for my car that says don’t tread on me?

  2. What time is the event suppose to be for the 9-12 March? I have a relative that wants to attended, but
    needs to know what time the march will start on Sept 12….

  3. I have 15,000 12″ X 18″ Don’t Tread on Me Flags available to wholesale. If interested, please e-mail me at
    thepoliticalmint@live.com. Very reasonable prices.

  4. Remember to bring your pitchforks & torches, see you there !

    • What will we be allowed to carry in the parade and in to the Capital area?

      • You can bring whatever you can carry. You are in our nations capital and I know that I will be waving a huge state flag and a Don’t Tred On Me flag. Pass the word that this march is happening, I’m sure we will hear much more in the “main stream” within the next couple of weeks!!

    • Billy, What is the symbolism for pitchforks and torches? We are there to protest the various bills in Congress that will hurt our economy for generations to come. Lets keep the message on target and not do anything that may cause disturbances. There are certainly going to be Obama’s people there to try and cause problems that will then be the only thing the media will pick up. It will turn against us. And innocent people might be hurt. Lets not turn this into a free for all. Obama said on TV that he didn’t mind “us” making a mess (of his bills) but just don’t talk. Well, we could all wear something across our mouths but have very explicit signs outlining our grievances . Another contributor to these responses suggests that we come with recorders and video cameras. So I suggest you switch from a pitchfork to a camera. – We must all make sure nothing we do will cause injury to another protester. God Bless
      E Gowans

  5. Flying in on a airplane from Floridaso no sure how I’m going to get a sign to the event. But I will have my plastic fork in hand!

    • Good question. I hope DC is not out of poster board :)

    • Maybe get a cheap piece of fabric and some fabric paint? So that way you can fold it up and pack it w/you. I’m totally not creative when it comes to signs but my appearance will be enough.

    • Lowe’s sells a 3-piece wooden extension handle for $2.97 (#104126) that is small enough to fit in airline luggage, but will make a 42″ long shaft when screwed together. Buy a second one and cable-tie it to the first one if you need a crosspiece. Make your poster on fabric and then tape or staple to the crosspiece. Not a perfect solution, but very cheap and very travel-friendly.

  6. Is there anyone in charge of the site here? They have a bad script on the front page that needs to be corrected but there’s no contact info!

  7. Ok folks. For those of you confused as to the itinerary, you can read it by going to the Resources tab at the top of the page, then choose “About” then choose “The 09-12 Protest”. I will copy the following from that page below. Here are the dates and times for the events and the March. Please copy/paste this into emails and maybe into the “notepad” on your PCs. What I suggest is that you plan this like it’s a huge Tea Party. While the individual events will most likely have chairs set up, the March and Protest will most likely be a standing affair. I suggest bringing your own seating if you can’t stand. Buy a small travel fold-up stool you can fit into luggage if you’re flying. Bring waters and snacks because I don’t think this thing is going to be like a street fair where there will be vendors. Bring hand-held fans to cool off in case it’s hot outside. Please pass this along to anyone you see asking questions about what’s going on. The site is a little hard to navigate but it helps to read every little thing. Also at the bottom of all the comments on a page there is a link that is VERY tiny that says “older comments”. This way you can scroll back to the beginning to read the comments that got pushed off the pages. I hope this helps. I don’t have all the answers but if you need anything just comment. Or my email is xthorsdottirx@yahoo.com

  9. Hey did you all hear ? We’re just an angry mob. Damn right we’re angry!! And one way or another we are going to make our voices heard. Come September 12th that voice is going to be deafening in Washington D.C.

    • We are angry because we have read the bill and we aren’t getting our questions answered. Come Sept. 12th they better be ready to answer.

      • Silent too long…….Silent no longer!

        Can’t wait to gather with all you Patriots in Washington on the 12th.

        God Bless America,

        Gary Clark

    August 6, 2009 • 5:48 pm .Hi! My husband son, and a friend and I will be there on the 10th, through the 13th.

    I will be attending with about 14 or more of us who met blogging on Human Events.

    I am not sure of how many of them have registered, one of our buddies is riding in with three bus loads of folks coming from Kentucky., and they may or may not be registered.

    Our message needs to be to Speaker Pelosi and the rest of her compatriots that are unwilling to listen to their constituents….

    What is with you?

    You are our elected officials, do you who think that you can avoid listening to what we, your constituents have to say?

    Who do you think you are?

    This pack of 535 Representatives in Washington and the President and Vice President have been bought and sold, and I am not sure who has their ‘ear’ but it is obvious it is not the American taxpayer.

    The Congress and Senate seem to think that it is somehow OK to continue to vote for legislation based on lies that they have not read, for bills that will forever alter this great Republic. These bills will also create a permanent caste system, and cripple the American economy. Their actions will cause the prices of everything to be increased for the voting public.

    Do our elected officials in the Congress and the Senate and our appointed officials, really think for a moment the voter’s are buying his dog and pony show?

    Are they arrogant enough to think they (our elected officials) can attend Town Halls and continue get away with schmoozing or snowing or BS-ing us, their constituents?

    FAT CHANCE.

    Boy are they, all of them…all of them in for a big surprise.

    That ‘E’ ride at their favorite theme park the American taxpayers piggy bank is soon to coming to an end, WE, the people, want our government back.

    Starting with the Democratic Party and then various Republicans foolish enough (members of gangs of 6, 8 12, 14) that want to enable, tinker with, compromise and reach across the aisle for Health-care, Cap & Trade, Card Check, Illegal Immigration, Foreign Policy, you name it, the process for replacing ALL 535 arrogant men and women have forgotten who they work for has begun and they will soon receive their unemployment notices.

    These pink slips will be in their hands in 2010, the other two will get their pink slips in 2012, and the remainder in 2014.

    We will continue the rehiring process until these usurpers understand who is the boss.

    Enough Already.

    The American public is getting ready to do some printing of their own…it is called a pink slip.

    I Look forward to joining all of you in taking an active role in our Constitutional Authority granted to us in the First Ammendment to the Constituion,The Bill of Rights, the first being…

    “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances”.

  12. I don’t know if I will be able to attend. I just found out about it on Rush. I am angry & I’m scared to death of this elected regime we currently have. I have never heard of a President wanting people to snitch on others if they don’t agree with him. I decided to beat them to the punch & I registered myself & my husband. I think we should all beat these people to the punch. Maybe then he’ll understand just how many people are not on board with his policies.

    • Linda–good for you for taking such a big step and attending this march. I cannot believe the gumption of the gov’t wanting its citizens to “snitch” on each other, either. Can anyone say Communism/Fascism/Nazism? This is getting REALLY scary. I can HARDLY believe this. Can anyone sue them for this?

      • We can’t sue anybody but we are the beginning of the second revolution IMO!!! Only two things will save this country and get us back to our founding core. One is a revolution and the other is an absolute default/dismantling of our current government. It needs to be completely dissolved down to what it was intended to be.

  13. Revolution?

    Take the country back? Oh puhleeze!

    Once again, tough talk but nothing to back it up with. You right-wingers are masters of empty chest beating. You will not revolt, take “your” country back, or perform any of those Rambo/Red Dawn fantasies. You guys are too cowardly.

    One of you annoying punks already got beat down.

    Keep trying your stunts at the town halls and August will become beat down right-winger month.

    I can’t wait for the Sept. 12 citywide DC beatdown.

    • don’t have the guts to sign your name don’t post. so you’re proud of the fact that a human being got beat up by 2 bullies? Sounds like something we can all be proud of—not. Too bad you don’t have an original thought in that pea sized brain of yours.

      • He must be referring to the guy who got beat up by the SEIU members in St. Louis. Just so happens these SEIU members were paid off by the Dems to try to make a point about their false accusations against the ‘angry mobs’. This poor guy in St. Louis was minding his business handing out Don’t Tread on me flags when he was physically attacked by the SEIU. So, I guess we know who the true ‘angry mob’ really is. These ‘unionist’ were also on the prowl in Tampa and elsewhere…In Tampa they allowed a handful of people inside the building then shut the door. After a while they (SEIU) started ‘escorting’ patriots out of the closed door and they even called the cops. This is out of control on behalf of the Dems, I mean, my gosh, these crackheads are acting like playground bullies who don’t get their way, what a bunch of cry babies, makes you wonder how they got in a position to run a country.

    • It was only a matter of time before a troll found this group. I was timing it months ago. You’re a little late buddy.

    • Hey PA!

      You seem to want big government control of your life, letting them spend your money for you and do your thinking for you, so why don’t you and your socialist friends send them all your extra money? Then your government masters won’t have to steal as much from us hard-working taxpayers to pay for all the handouts to their robot supporters.

    • People are being planted in some these town hall meetings. Did you the unions being slipped in the side door at Russ Carnahan’s meeting? I a glad that you are happy with the current administration. I can name 5 lies right now before you can name 5 positive things he has done for this country. Please tell me why you like Barry….not because he dresses well or he is great orator, or nice looking. I am really interested. Next time give your name brave one

    • PA, ADULTS work for a living and have better things to do than post on websites they disagree with.

      Go post some naughty pictures of yourself on one of the sites you frequent.

  14. We know many conservative blacks who are truly afraid to voice their opinions because they realize that factions in their culture will hurt them or eliminate them – no problem. They are constantly “terrorized” by their own. The fact that black SEIU members roughed up this poor guy sent a message to the rest – do you think?

  15. Just ordered a couple of T-shirts. Looks like you’re out of hats at this time, but I want to order a couple of those, too!

  16. Sorry my husband and I will not be able to go to Washington with the group. I hope they have a good turnout.
    Our government is in danger of a socialist takeover. We will attend any local teaparties we can.

    • Another coward making excuses for not showing up.

      Shocking.

      • The only excuse not to be there is if you are in a hospital bed or are serving overseas. If you want to save your Constitutional Republic you will be there. If not then do not cry when the sh@t hits the fan.

      • will show you alright!!!!

      • I see that some of our patriots like to call women ‘cowards.’ You expect people to take you seriously when you can’t even be civil?

    • I’m from the Rockford area and me and 4 others are flying out there for the march!! If you cannot take a bus everyone needs to look into airfare and hotal on yahoo or one of those other travel sites. I got 2 nights in a very nice hotel with airfare for $240.

  17. PA, you’re a troll. Get lost.

    And c’mon, people, be nice. None of us has the right to judge others based on whether they can make it to DC or not. Assume positive motivation first. I doubt if any of us knows each other in real life, so cut like-minded people some slack. They’re with us, remember?

  18. Silly question, but how do you make a protest sign? I’ve never done it.

    • I bought an Illinois flag and a Don’t tread on Me flag for $5 each. I then sewed them together so when I wave it you see each side!! I will put a screw together flag pole in my bag and I will be good to go!! I’m sure you can get some poster board at Office Depot or something to make a sign. Check out youtube or google “making a sign.”

    • http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Protest-Signs

      Poster board is good, foam board is thicker and would probably be longer lasting. You can buy poster board at any art store like Michael’s or Aaron Bros.

  19. Do you guys know who started this website? Dick Armey…he works for one of the biggest lobbing firms in the world. Any idea who they represent? Want to take a guess? That’s it…the health insurance industry, among others! Are you guys aware of that? Don’t you see you’re being used and misinformed??? Or maybe you just don’t care.

    • Well, Your obviously are so concerned about this site. I bet two weeks ago you could have cared less. whats the matter? Are you feeling the heat?

      Don’t you see your being used as a socialistic pawn? Or maybe you just don’t care?

    • I hope he represents TORT REFORM!!!
      And my best wishes for you to understand the meaning. You should not back it up because it is gonna make you work and that is not a good thing!

    • Florence,

      For me this isn’t about anyone issue.

      It is about the continual and progressive actions of a government that doesn’t care what the American people want. This has been going on for decades and I have finally had enough.
      I have attempted to talk to my representitives and got nowhere.

      So for me it is time to stand up and be counted as one who wants the government to be responsible, cut the budget, stop raising taxes, and be open about what they are doing.
      The healthcare reform is just one issue and it is the hot one right now. But the Cap and Trade bill is bad for America, our education system is a mess, and our Mexican border is almost a war zone.
      The government is full of fruad, excess and coruption and we are shouldering the burden.

      I for one am very tired of being told I have to cut back and I have to be responsible and I have to pay my taxes when government officials don’t toe the same line.

      These townhall meetings have gotten out of control because the politicians can’t answer the questions or they know the answer is not going to be well recieved so they evade the question.
      There has to be some organization to achieve the goal of waking up congress but if the people weren’t mad to begin with the organizers wouldn’t have anyone to organize.

      There is ligitimate concern and frustration and what the government is doing “to us” not for us.

      • Bonnie, Obama was elected by people who want, and see the need, for healthcare reform. He’s in the process of fulfilling that campaign promise. That’s just the way it works. I believe if you guys really understood the issue you would support it as well. And to Cookie, OMG, so angry! What’s that all about? You had 8 years of your way and look where it got us. As for your comments about me, I’ve worked all my life and I have private health insurance(which I intend to keep). I’m an RN and I can tell you first hand the system is a disaster! We need reform now, for so many reasons. Educate yourself! It’s your civic and moral responsability ! Don’t rely on the garbage you get from FOX, Rush, and this site.

        • Florence,
          I too, see a need for healthcare reform but from what I have read of the Waxman-Marky bill I’m not sure we are getting the right reform and if it is the right way to go the politicians are doing a terrible job of educating the public.

          BTW – I watch MSNBC, read the NYTimes and Washington Times (online), listen to NPR, watch Meet the Press, George Stephonoplis, John Stewart (who makes execellent points with humor) and FOXnews. I do not listen to Rush Limbaugh.
          Having been a news photographer for 4 yrs I know all media is bias.

          I have talked to a nurse friend of mine and she gave me her ideas on what needs to be done. I would welcome your thoughts as well.

          • Bonnie…the Rush/educateyourself comment was for Cookie and the other angry ones.

            As for my views…right now, the insurance co’s run the show. That’s how they want to keep it, because they are making huge profits. A public option will put an end to that. Insurance companies will be forced to compete and be reasonable in order to keep our business.
            Now, those without medical insurance use the local ER as their doctor, and we, the citizens, are paying for it. An average trip to the ER for a non-emergency costs $1000! That’s crazy! With a public option they will have a primary MD and a visit will be $50 or so. Most people will have to pay for their “public option” ins. And for those who can’t the overall cost will be far less than all the trips to the ER. So much has yet to be worked out but to me a public option is the key to changing things for the better.

        • I guess you did not understand that looking at it objectively we have had partially nationalized medicine for a while, like Medicaid as an example, being in the medical field you should know. But unless we get the trial lawyers’ hands off our healthcare nothing will be accomplished and the care itself will take us down to the hole a little faster. Now why the president denies to include TORT reform in the proposal? And I do not mean a shakesperean “kill all the lawyers” bit.

          I don’t need any of the media to brainwash me, I happen to be imposible to hypnotize, I am more like Equality 7-2521 in ANTHEM. I think, ergo I act. See, I know what communism is and we are almost there. I have known the beast and is knocking at our doors.

          Buy the way, no anger against you, though great mistrust and discontent against a Government that will create a net of control on everything, like the car you drive, the lightbulb you use, the water you flush, the mortgage you own, the food you swallow, the medicine you use, the way on how to die…

          I wish you and the rest of us the best of luck.

      • Way to go, Bonnie! Right on! Our politicians stopped listening to us years ago. Well it’s time to wake them up before it’s too late. The townhall meetings have started the process, hopefully, the 9-12 march will help, too. It’s going to be a long, uphill fight but for FREEDOM we can do anything!

    • Thanks for sharing that………….but I’ve always been able to think for myself.

    • You’re the one misinformed and being used my friend. You’ll see, just may take a little longer.

  20. I’ve known about this site and others for some time. I like to examine both sides of an issue…and I can’t for the life of me understand why reasonable people fall for such crap when they have the ability to get the facts for themselves. These “organizers” don’t care about the health and well being of middle income people. They represent the wealthy and big business. They are telling lie after lie just to incite you guys, and you’re taking the bait. Obviously, Earl, you don’t care that this site is run by LOBBYISTS.

    • Give me a break Florence. Putting together an event like this takes an organization – similar to the ones that were put on for Obama. I feel most of us are aware that Health Care needs fixing. However, the current bills have really little to do with real health care, but more as to how it can be paid for. Guess what Florence, it is people like you and me and thousands, maybe millions of others with good coverage who will end up paying for it. We will be forced to give up our good coverage. The companies we deal with will not be able to compete with what Obama’s plan will cost. I have another fear – I am 75, in fairly good health, but my care will be severely rationed as my health declines. That is why we are going to Washington, to protest to save our health care. We are also against the Cap and Trade bill, amongst others. You best pray that our voices will be heard. By the way – the protesters are not just republicans; there are democrats and independents too. Hey there is still time for you to make arrangements to come.

      • LOL, E. Gowans…thanks for the invite but it’s much to wild and crazy for me. Can’t get a word in edgewise and most aren’t really interested in hearing, just disrupting.

        If you’re 75 you’re most likely on mcare, a government run plan. No one is talking about cutting your end of life benifits. That’s another LIE intended to scare people. The provision in the bill is about living will info.

        Anyway, I wish you guys well. Be careful!

        • You know, the new catch phrase for people who want this bill is “no one is talking about” …! I’ve heard it over and over. Well no wonder they’re not talking about it.

        • We are also on Blue Cross – I guess Anthem now, which covers what Medicare does not cover. Obama is talking about cutting Medicare coverage – I heard him. I listen very carefully to what Obama says. I am also against our tax money (under Obamas plan) being used to pay for abortions on demand, not only when it is medically necessary which is the law now. However, thanks for the warning , I am sure there are going to be hecklers there to try and start fights so the press can say how ugly the marchers were. I guess you don’t believe either that Obama has his own private Palace Guard.!!!!! It is spelled ACORN. Like I said, the Health Care Program is not our only target. All the bills that he wants passed and if passed will increase our taxes, and not just on the wealthy.
          You take care. Lets hope these protest will make a bad bill into a good bill. Ellen

          • Florence,
            You are right to say “much has to be worked out.”
            BUT it wouldn’t be worked out and improved if Americans hadn’t stood and shouted to the rooftops because Congress wouldn’t listen otherwise.
            Our dessent will in the end make a better bill.

        • Medicare will be cut by $500 million dollars, from the president’s own mouth! You can’t dump 47 million people into a system and not add more Doctors and Nurses. There is already a nursing shortage, this will just make it worse. Doctors are resigning the AMA on a daily basis because they don’t represent them. More Doctors will leave the field because the Government will tell them how much they will be paid, doesn’t matter what your specialty is. I’ve read the bill, I know what damage this bill can do.

          Do we need health care reform? Yes! But this isn’t the way to do it. You don’t dismantle a system that 80% of the population are happy with in an attempt to insure 15-20 million people, tops. You find a way to insure those uninsured. If Medicare and Medicaid are so wonderful like the president says why not enroll them in those programs. Why? Because they are going broke just like every other program the government has attempted to run. The president put his foot in his mouth by saying Fed Ex and UPS have done just fine competing against the Post Office…it’s the post office that’s having problems. WHAT AN IDIOT!! He is continually caught in lie after lie and the MSM won’t call him on it.

          He has the car companies, the banks and insurance companies in his pocket, so clever of him to bail everyone out. Nothing like having them all in your debt…he owns them. He has tripled the debt in 6 months of taking office. Part of it was inherited but the other 2/3 is his alone. He owned it on tv the other day. But I don’t take lightly to being told to “get out of the way and shut up”. This is AMERICA! I refuse to shut up! I will not be bullied by this president or his goons.

          The majority of people here are tired of the direction this county is headed. I don’t want the government involved in every aspect of my life. I don’t want them to have access to my bank account..yes, it’s in the bill. The liberal left in this country are making our country into something our founding fathers wouldn’t even recognize!

    • Where the hell are all the trolls coming from? If you don’t agree with our Movement GET OFF THE SITE! Stop making arguments that run valuable information off the page. 30000+ smart Americans are going to run your shitty Government out of DC on 9/12 and there’s nothing you are going to do here from stopping us. In fact, go ahead and troll the site here and give us an even bigger reason to go kick some ass.

  21. The issue here is “FREEDOM”, that is what is in jeopardy. Not becoming a slave to the government through taxation. To have government listen and work for us, within the framework of the constitution and nothing else. Limit government’s power and that the power/voice of the people should be heard and respected by government.

    • The “power/voice” of the people was heard loud and clear in November 2008. Just because it didn’t go your way doesn’t mean it’s not “FREEDOM.” That’s the way a democracy works. Why can’t you respect that?

      • You see Florence we are not for ANY kind of big government. Your side our “our side”. We have been silent for too long and have over the years allowed this to happen. It’s not just about Democrats and Republicans.

        • Silent no Longer! The momentum is building…I can feel it.

        • No government? So then you dont need the roads, military, schools, police, fire department, medicare, social security … none of it?

          Health care reform is good for the american public. It’s good for our economic recovery. It’s good for business. It’s good for everyone except the health insurance companies and there million dollar CEOs.

          And that is why the health care industry is behind all these lies about death panels and rationing.

      • Florence,

        Democracy is nothing more than mob tyranny. It is two wolves and a sheep voting on dinner.

        Our country is a REPUBLIC. A republic respects each individuals FREEDOM. It is a well armed sheep.

        “Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security, or the rights of property; and have, in general, been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.”
        James Madison

        QUIT VIOLATING OUR RIGHTS.

      • Check the polls: Been taken for a fool is the norm nowadays.

      • Florence, it’s not that things did not “Go my way” during the election. There were no good candidates for either party. It’s the fact that our congressional leaders and current administration think that they can throw money, our money, at the problem and it will be resloved. And it’s not just this administration, but includes others before. If we’re not carefully we will become en-salved to government. We cannot let this happen, be it from either party.

        It is ture what Ben Franklin stated, “we now have freedom, but can we told on to it” This challange still rings true today.

      • Go away, troll.

  22. I guess we are starting to the socialists attention. That is actually good because three weeks ago I was worried how much this march was getting out on the net. Florence is going to be ticked when Obama moves the health care bill to a more moderate position.

  23. How about this addition to the march?

    http://www.singingrevolution.com/

    • Very apropos. We are heading towards a system that resembles the stalinist/fascist regime. The difference is we are getting it the way Lavrentiy Beria supposedly wrote in his “Psychopolitics”: without a single bullet being shot, by taking over the Universities, creating race and class warfare (I don’t think he mentioned rece, I am just throwing it in because it is obvious. He knew what he was talking about, he was a commissar in USSR I think during Stalin.

    • Very stirring – thank you for sharing. What would be a good song/hymn for us to be singing as we march to the Capitol? How about “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”? We need to do something like that to keep the SEIU or ACORN soldiers confused – if we are all singing, what reason would they have for attacking us. Of Course we also need to have many camera/s. video camera/s, etc. going up and down the route. Or we could hold hands all away across the road – Glenn Beck just shared on his program about a necklace he wears around his neck; It says 3 things: 1 Question with Boldness, 2 Hold onto the Truth, 3. Speak without Fear. I might carry that on my poster. He encourages us to be peaceful but be forceful in our speech. I think I got that right. E.Gowans

      • E.Gowans,
        here are a few more song suggestions:
        “God of our Fathers”
        “God of our fathers, whose almighty hand leads forth in beauty all the starry band of shining worlds in splendor thru the skies, our grateful songs before Thy throne arise.
        “Thy love divine hath led us in the past, in this free land by Thee our lot is cast; be Thou our ruler, guardian, guide, and stay, Thy word our law, Thy paths our chosen way.
        “From war’s alarms, from deadly pestilence, be Thy strong arm our ever-sure defense; Thy true religion in our hearts increase, Thy bounteous goodness nourish us in peace.
        “Refresh Thy people on their toilsome way, lead us from night to never-ending day; fill all our lives with love and grace divine, and glory, laud, and praise be ever Thine!”

        This may be my favorite patriotic song. If we lose sight.. which many have already.. of what makes this nation great it will most certainly fall.

        Also our National Anthem.. both the first and the last verse.
        I LOVE the last phrase:
        “Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just; and this be our motto: ‘In God is our trust!’ And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!”
        And America the Beautiful… every verse.

  24. “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” Jesus

    • My family are ancestors of William Few who signed from Georgia. The Few’s in The family are majorly disappointed by this Obummer that his kind put in office – let’s thank ACORN for his election and of course the fact that he refused to produce a real birth certificate. The man does not qualify to run for the office never mind be in the office. I can’t make it to DC but I do head up the Tea Party’s in my county and am very proud of all the patriots out there – our fathers and grandfathers died for this country and, if it weren’t for their efforts there would be no social security. By the way, MEDICARE should be revamped instead of another fiasco program. Medical care providers (all of them) should have a ceiling for their services just like my industry – plus if MEDICARE service providers would investigate the fraud that exists and file charges….we don’t need a new anything we need to fix what is out there – it’s the best in world – as bad as we think it is. I’LL BE IN DC IN SPIRIT WITH ALL OF YOU.

      • Parroting the terrorist sympathizer Glenn Beck will get you no legitimacy points.

        Glenn Beck nods and agrees with his guest Michael Scheuer that the only way to “save” the US (from illegal immigrants, of course) is for Osama bin Laden to succeed in detonating a weapon on American soil.

        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        Glenn Beck “Obama is a racist with a deep seated hatred of white people”
        Literally 10 seconds later: Glenn beck says “I never said Obama doesn’t like white people”
        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

        Beck complained about the US health system after he had an operation in 2008. Beck said his surgery was an “eye-opening experience” and aired a segment about his “personal voyage through the nightmare that is our healthcare system”.

        Sixteen months later, Beck is claiming America’s system is “the best healthcare system in the world”. Confused? What kind of mental gymnastics does that take?

        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        Such flip-flopping seems to be part of a pattern on Beck’s show. During one broadcast, the presenter played a video montage comparing Obama’s healthcare plan to Nazi Germany’s eugenics programme. Immediately after the clip, Beck said we wasn’t claiming eugenics is coming.
        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

        Of course, the majority of you worship the ground he walks on.

  26. YEAR OF OUR LORD

  27. Watch this short film about the healthcare industry. The CEO of United Healthcare makes $102,000 per hour. That’s a sin!

    http://sickforprofit.com/

    • And how much does the federal deficit grow per hour? That is a sin!

    • I recall as I have see on TV AARP has an insurance deal with United Healthcare… Just an observation.

    • And the lawyers with their malpractice suits make MILLIONS! Where is Tort reform and defensive medicine in this bill? Absent. Why because Lawyers were the largest group that donated to his campaign, he’s one of them! You will never see Tort reform while this president sits in the White House. A study done several years ago sited defensive medicine costs the taxpayer at MINUMUM $35 Million a year, the more lawsuits the more doctors have to practice defensive medicine in an attempt to avoid being sued.

      This country has become filled with litigous, lazy, give-me-all-I-can-get-without-having-to-pay-for-it-or-WORK-for-it leeches who want to live off others hard work. They don’t care if the are trading their freedoms for a buck. The government will take care of them…

      • and the majority of them are rural whites! Imagine that?

        Proof: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1355/is_n21_v90/ai_18744024/

        Most people who depend on welfare are White and live in suburbs or rural areas, a recent study shows. The findings are contrary to the popular belief that most welfare recipients are unemployed, inner-city minorities whose families have gotten public assistance for generations.

        The study reveals that Whites make up 48 percent of the poor, followed by Blacks, 22 percent, and Hispanics, 22 percent. The information for the study was compiled from 1994 Census data, and the study was conducted by Population Reference Bureau, an independent group.

        Welfare recipients was not the only “myth of poverty, challenged by the study. The study also notes:

        * Not all poor people remain on public assistance for years. One out of three people living below the poverty line will rise above the line within 12 months.

        * The poor are not anti-work. About 10 percent of the nation’s poor are children under legal working age and 10 percent are over U.

        * Fewer than half of the nation’s poor receive cash benefits from the government. Most who do receive government assistance would have difficulty making ends meet with the amount of money they receive.

        * Nearly 40 percent of the poor have in families headed by a single woman; 34 percent live in two-parent homes.

  28. The Lewin Group, often quoted by reform opponents, is owned by United Healthcare.

    Lewin group linked to private insurers
    Apr. 17th, 2009 by Andrew Van Dam
    Filed under: Conflicts of interest, Health journalism, Hot Health Headline
    In the Columbia Journalism Review, Trudy Lieberman, president of AHCJ’s board of directors, scolded journalists for not mentioning that Lewin Group, the consultants who released a recent study claiming that a public insurance option would cost doctors and hospitals money, is ultimately part of a major insurance company.

    (Lewin Group is) part of Ingenix, which is owned by United Healthcare Group, the insurance behemoth that has been buying up insurance companies left and right, expanding its reach into just about every segment of the health-insurance market. Its flagship, UnitedHealthcare, helps make it the largest health insurer in the country. It’s a safe bet that United is not too keen on a public plan that might shrink its business.

  29. Getting ready and getting the word out. Question: Does anyone feel uncomfortable with the fist part of the 912 March logo? It reminds me of a Soviet symbol – the exact opposite of what we represent. Is it supposed to be “Power to the People”?

    Florence, I don’t care how much CEO’s make as long as they get NO public money OR government favors that give them an unfair advantage. Who cares how much they make as long as they are earning it by providing something their customers freely choose to buy in a free and competetive market. In most cases, when the market doesn’t work it’s because the government has interfered in some way at some level. There’s not much left of a free market economy in America but maybe…

    • The point is Beca, the insurance execs are getting plenty of our money for all the millions of uninsured people who use the emergency rooms every day. we pay for it in our premiums!!! you guys don’t want to get it. you just want a fight to release your deep seated anger.

    • Agree with you about the logo. But lets face it: they try to take away our liberty, we can take away the logo. The fist is the fist of a worker. We work. We are the core of the country. We are protesting. And by us using it we neutralize their using anything similar. By the way, their logo is round with the sunset, dropping behind the horizon. We are the opposite, we are rising our fists, the sunrise. Subliminal…

    Hi E. Great information on the Gadsden flag!

    Also, the bay flags for $6.95 are just flags with no car mount. http://www.gadsdenandculpeper.com/gadsdenflags1.html are less than ebay and with free shipping using code “DTOM”. Plus let’s support these guys for offering free shipping on 9/12 gear. Got a great hat to wear for the march!

    OCTOM! Obama can’t tread on me!

  31. Steve Forbes? Ron Paul? Glenn Beck?Are you kidding me? Paul and Forbes want a continuation of pseudo-free market economic destruction through industry collusion and fraud that caused this mess. Beck is useless too. It’s a shame so many of you really want to make a difference but are too naive to see that you have been had by the same guys who pose a detriment to your future and future generations. Ron Paul has no idea what he is talking about with health care, which is sad since he’s a doctor.

    Read this http://www.avaresearch.com/article_details-311.html

    • Your comments indicate your desire for big government and government control of your life. We all agree that health care needs major changes, but only in things like tort reform and not denying care for any class of people. If you just let the government take over, your health care will all be like the license branch, the medicare system with its terrible inefficiency, and the congress which writes 1000-page bills just to confuse us. They all want to run our lives.

  41. Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” Matthew 22:15-22

  42. The fascist formula

    Here’s the emerging American version of the fascist’s formula: combine millions of dollars of lobbyists’ money with embittered troublemakers who have a small army of not terribly bright angry conservatives (collected over decades through pro-life mass mailing networks) at their beck and call, ever ready to believe any myth or lie circulated by the semi literate and completely and routinely misinformed right wing — Evangelical religious underground. Then put his little mob together with the insurance companies’ big bucks.

    What’s the results of the fascist formula for the rest of us? Well, think how this “method” worked against Dr. Tiller’s abortion clinic and how that story ended. In this case a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to save our economy from going bankrupt because of spiraling health care costs may be lost, not because of a better argument, but because of lies backed up by anti-democratic embittered thuggery. The motive? Revenge on America by the Old White Guys of the far right, and greed by the insurance industry.

  43. The Lobbyist-run Groups “Americans for Prosperity ” and “FreedomWorks/ Dick Armey-Orchestrated Memo:
    Here is a leaked excerpt from the folks organizing the intimidation campaign:

    - Artificially Inflate Your Numbers: “Spread out in the hall and try to be in the front half. The objective is to put the Rep on the defensive with your questions and follow-up. The Rep should be made to feel that a majority, and if not, a significant portion of at least the audience, opposes the socialist agenda of Washington.”

    - Be Disruptive Early And Often: “You need to rock-the-boat early in the Rep’s presentation, Watch for an opportunity to yell out and challenge the Rep’s statements early.”

    - Try To “Rattle Him,” Not Have An Intelligent Debate: “The goal is to rattle him, get him off his prepared script and agenda. If he says something outrageous, stand up and shout out and sit right back down. Look for these opportunities before he even takes questions.”

  44. NO TO UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE – HR 3200

    We now know why Obama didn’t take up for the protesters in Iran protesting their government.

    Obama knew that there would be protests in the USA against his, and Congresses, policies and thus he could not condemn the USA protesters after hailing the protesters in Iran.

    So we are at a crossroads;

    WHO WILL BLINK FIRST?

    Obama is betting that the seniors and veterans will blink first because we have never been violent and have always avoided violence, so Obama and his minions think we will blink first.

    However, Obama and his cronies do not know history.

    The seniors and veterans are the ones that saved the world from another fascist dictator, Hitler, and then fought in Korea and Vietnam against communists.

    These seniors and veterans gave their all to protect their country and their freedoms and they will not allow a few “Home Grown Terrorists” like Obama and his Chicago mobsters and their fellow Communists, Socialists, Marxists, Progressives, Friends, etc. the vocal minority to take their country away from them.

    The seniors and veterans fought the enemy from outside their country and are perfectly willing to fight these “Home grown Terrorists”.

    WHO WILL BLINK FIRST?

    Obama and his merry thieves believe it will be the elderly and a few other people that have suddenly realized this is WAR.

    Unfortunately, Obama has underestimated his own charisma and our supposed lack of concern about our country and the loss of our freedoms to a bunch of quacks out fro all the power and as much wealth as they can steal from us.

    WE HAVE TO FORCE OBAMA AND CONGRESS TO BLINK FIRST.

    Especially the politicians who are not committed to such a government takeover.

    We will see in the next weeks how far these protestors get without having to resort to violence or how much violence Will Obama and his thugs use against the seniors and veterans.

    Obama has never lost at anything.

    Obama thinks he will always win.

    Obama never has been up against a few old people who have survived depressions, wars and life for 70+ years and seniors and veterans are not quitters.

    The decision will be made by Congress. How far are they willing to go to appease his Holiness Obama, the Great?

    It is a life and death fight for the elderly.

    If we lose, we die in the hospitals, etc.

    If we die fighting for our freedom and our country and we succeed, we will still win in death.

    Death, while fighting, is better than death lying in bed waiting in Pain.

    “GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!!” AS PATRICK HENRY SAID.

    At least we get to choose how to die because if we lose; those Idiots will get to choose.
