My idea is to empower the unrest of all Citizens with a statement.
Which is to display the 1st Navy Jack flag and the DTOM (Gadsden)
flag everywhere. I have set up an wholesale account with a Large USA flag maker and am ready to wholesale just these two flags. They are car flags which will attach to car windows, can be held aloft at rallies,
can be separated from the pole and used in a million ways. Like hoisting aloft on boats,trucks & motorcycles
displaying in windows ETC.
I hope to sell them to non-profit groups to be used as FUNDRAISERS. Of course I will sell them individually and donate to charities. I hope we can roll on this.

I just ordered several DTOM car window stickers and have the Navy Jack flag. There were so many of them at the West Palm Beach tea party. DTOM is a natural anti-peacenik symbol, which is passive. DTOM are fighting words we need. This movement has to encompass more than just money and talk about the next generation. The danger is to the country and freedom right now.
Health care is not a right…it has become a basic human need.
If the water companies started raising prices and stopping service wouldn’t you want something to be done?
I realize many of you have good health insurance and thereby get good health care. Good for you, You’re fortunate.
However for an increasing number of “real” Americans do not and if things continue of this course (without reform) neither will you.
Health care has always been a basic human need – no more so today than in 500 BC. It is responsibility of the politicians we ‘real’ Americans elect to represent us to enact polices that allow the insurance companies to provide their products at reasonable prices to us. One such policy would be to allow insurance companies to compete across state lines. There are currently 315 insurance companies that sell health insurance policies in this country, but in California, for example, a person can buy health insurance from only 6. And if the person moves to another state, that person must cancel their current policy and buy one from a company in the state they move to (even if it’s from the same company they were with before). There are many more such policy changes that could be effected that would result in price reductions in health care insurance but which are not being explored. The options that are being explored are designed to drive insurance companies out of the health insurance business, such as requiring insurance companies to cover people with pre-existing conditions. Insurance is not about coverage, it’s about risk. A person with a pre-existing condition has a 100% risk of having to be treated for their pre-existing condition. Some of these conditions are very expensive and would cause rate rises for everyone (including the person with the condition). Get enough of these expensive pre-existing condition clients and the prices for everyone (again, including the person with the condition) will become unbearable. This will cause massive customer defection and bankruptcy for the insurance company. If you add another policy being discussed, capping premiums, then the insurance company will surely go out of business, stranding all of their customers, including the person with the pre-existing condition.
Yea! Somebody finally noticed that it’s not insurance if you cover preexisting conditions. Score one for common sense!

How ridiculous. I’m glad I live in the UK. Our healthcare system may not be perfect, but I know I don’t have to make panic that my insurance isn’t up to date when I break my ankle.
I’m very interested in getting involved in this movement against high taxes, big government that is no longer accessible to (and therefore not beholden to) its citizens on both a state and federal govenrment level. I’m trying to find a reputable group to get involved with to demand responsible government and return it to the people and not the ultra liberal eliteists nor the extreme right as both think they know better how to spend my money than I do. Is this a good place to start or can anyone suggest a reputable group to become involved with? Is this group effective, legitimate and well organized?

I know that Freedomworks has been around doing good work for a good while and this should be a good place to start to get some work done. Of course there are others as well but there is a lot of work to be done locally everywhere.

The point , as I understand it, is to send these failures back to the private sector where they will actually have to work to succeed. We need to replace every incumbent in both houses of Congress with fresh players, who do not have that sense of entitlement so evident in our present elected officials. These new Congressmen and Congresswomen must be pledged to do all they can to institute term limits for US Reps and Senators so this crap doesn’t keep happening over and over ad nauseum. To have incumbent Congressmen give speeches will kill what we have in short order. If any incumbents want to help they can volunteer to sit in the chairs over dunk tanks to raise money for the campains of their replacements.
Say NO and say it loud to any incumbent Federal politicians speaking at any Tea Party rally. Governors would be ok I think.

Was just looking at the photos of the way DC was left trashed after the inauguration-a day of infamy-and would like to suggest that the protesters be reminded to not litter, and pick up any dropped trash. I agree there should be no politicians speaking who are of the same status quo. There are only a select few who are true followers of what our founding fathers made clear of what kind of government we are to have, for always. I thought I had heard listening to Mike Badnariks U.S. Constitution Classes on UTube videos, there is in our Constitution that forbids any elected official from bearing a Title of Nobility. I do believe lawyers are Titled, they are an Esquire, which is an English Title. How is it that they become elected, if this is in our Constitution? Nothing worse than a bunch of word twisters to try and manipulate our laws, which have already been determined by our legal and binding Document, The Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. The March on DC is Great. I hope we get a wonderful turn out (I’ll be there), but we need to protest every day also. I never see protest bumper stickers on cars, except my own. You can get made to order magnetic bumper stickers on several internet sites. I change my every day to make me feel better. How do we get this word out?

Will there be any chairs set up for senior citizens to sit in at this rally? My father is an 86 year old WWII veteran who is determined to be at the rally and march on 9/12. He does not have any problems walking; however, he is unable to stand for long periods of time without his back and hip hurting. He will need a chair to sit in when we are not walking. Do we need to bring one or will some be provided for our senior citizens? Please advise. Thank you.

But I suggest you go to the Politifact website or Factcheck.org to see how many of those asinine Republican claims about the health care bill are actually true. Yeah, the government is going to be in your bank account. This is all about middle class white people being afraid of paying a few more tax dollars to help the poor. The poor are perceived as lazy in this country in which the myth persists that everyone has the same opportunities. What a crock. Conservatives will never change. And this country’s reaction to Obama’s policies reinforces the bullshit this country ws founded upon but which will always be praised by conservatives who think the pretense of economic mobility is the same thing as that often bandied-about word: freedom. I have wondered for so long what I as one person can do to make a difference for this country. The sentence is so very cliché yet so true. The time has come for me to try and make that difference how ever little it may be. It’s funny that I think of the words of John F. Kennedy, for I have rarely, if ever voted for a Democrat in my life. How many times have we all heard “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country.” We have now become a Nation that asks not what we can do for our country but what our country can do for us.
As I have voted Republican for the majority of my life I do not profess to be a Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, or even Independent. In my own simple definition I call myself a Conservative and look to those who uphold and fight for my conservative values. I think we have become a nation who looks to the label to define our beliefs, actions, and our vote. Rather, than our vote being a reflection of our beliefs and actions.
We have become a Nation that has slowly progressed away from the basic precepts of
our founding fathers. We must, as American citizens, fight to take this nation back toward these original precepts. It is what has made this nation so great and for what so many have sacrificed the ultimate gift of life. If our Federal Government refuses to fight for these precepts and uphold our Constitution than it falls to each and every one of us to contribute in whatever way we are called. In this cause we have become complacent and even lazy in our duty as American citizens.
Being one who is fascinated by the history of World War II, I was priviledged to recently visit Normandy (Omaha, Utah, & Point Du Hoc). I don’t pretend to even begin to understand the challenges and emotions the American forces faced on that fateful day. However, I could only imagine what Army Rangers faced when scaling Point Du Hoc on that faithful day of June 6, 1944. They had to scale a shear cliff knowing that their job was to remove the German 155mm guns entrenched on the cliff, so as to clear the way for the coming invasion. Knowing their casualties were estimated to be upwards of 90%. Ultimately, we all know they succeeded. Of the 225 men who scaled those cliffs 135 of them died 60%. To me this bravery speaks to the tenacity and heart of what it means to be an American. I I am not suggesting that everyone needs to scale a cliff to render your support. However, what I do ask is that you give in whatever way you can. Just a little sacrifice can make a world of difference. If these 225 men would not have succeeded one June 4, 1944 the invasion could have ended disastrously for the hundreds of thousands of men to follow on Utah and Omaha. What we do now can have a huge effect on what is to come.

The US has the most expensive healthcare system in the world. It is almost twice as expensive as every other developed nation. This is largely due to administrative costs which account for 19-25% of healthcare costs, and up to 34% at for-profit hospitals.
Other than South Africa, America is the only developed country in the world that does not provide healthcare for all of its citizens.
Yet, the US ranks 26th in infant mortality and 24th in the number of healthy years a person can expect to live – putting America’s healthcare system in the company of Cuba and Slovenia rather than Canada and Western European nations.
And, despite ludicrous right-wing anecdotal claims of high dissatisfaction among those who live in countries with universal healthcare, the reality is that, with the exception of Italy, Americans are more dissatisfied with their healthcare than are the citizens of every other developed nation, including England, France, Germany, and Canada. Moreover, US doctors spend less time with patients that do doctors in other nations.

The truth is that he basically plans to let the the Bush tax cuts expire which puts then at Clinton era levels and lower than Reagen era levels.
These tax cuts only affect the top 1% of Americans.

139.3 million times 1% = 1.39 million potentially affected by approx a 3% increase.
Out of a total population of over 300 million that’s a very small number.

I’m sure you have heard of this treaty. Unfortunately, most people I have spoken to so far, from priests to politicians, have never heard of it. Diane Feinstein has vowed to pass it this year, and President Obama has already agreed to sign it if it comes to his desk. This is indeed alarming!

Why Limit Illegal Immigration Concerns to Health Care. You Can Take Action on Illegal Immigration; You don’t have to wait for the Politicians
Don’t be duped by the lobbyists for big insurance, such as Dick Army’s organization. If you want to keep illegal immigrants from accessing the proposed health insurance program, why stop there? Now you have the power to prevent illegal immigration yourself in a peaceful, forceful way. How? Prevent employers from hiring illegal aliens. If there are no jobs here, most immigrants won’t try to come here. How can you do that? Have you heard of E-Verify (check out its website)? Now any employer who wants to can check easily and quickly, for free, whether their employees are here legally. So here’s what you can do:
Ask any company you do business with (market, gas station, dry cleaner, mall stores, fast food stands, car washes, etc.) if they hire illegal aliens.
If they say yes, stop doing business with them.
Most will probably say they don’t hire illegals as far as they know. If they say they don’t, then ask them if they use E-Verify. If they say they do, make up a sign on regular size paper you can give them to post that says simply in large type: “We use E-Verify to check to be sure our employees are here legally.”) Ask them to post it in a prominent place. If they don’t/won’t, tell them you will shop elsewhere.
If they say they don’t use E-Verify, or don’t know about it, tell them to go to the E-Verify website and, when they do start using it, to post your sign that says so.
Tell your friends and make signs for them to use, too.
Why let concern about illegal aliens get in the way of protecting our future health as the insurance companies continue to raise their costs and more people lose health insurance every day?
A word of warning, however, all those Republican politicos who claim to be concerned about illegal immigration will change their tune if you really affect their contibutors ability to hire cheap labor. Even now, the Chamber of Commerce is opposing E-Verify!
Don’t be duped. If you are concerned about illegal immigration, you can use the power of the purse to stop employers from hiring illegal aliens so they can pay lower wages.
Federal Government Takeover of State Rights
Over the last decade or so we have seen an enormous effort by the federal government and its regulatory agencies to prevent states from enforcing their own laws, under the claim of “preemption.” Major industries lobby for regulations and laws to “preempt” state laws because they want the lowest level of protection for consumers possible. One of the worst offenders, not surprisingly, is the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Ever heard of them? They prevented states from prosecuting national banks and credit card companies for misleading, deceptive or unfair lending practices. One of the biggest reasons for the financial mess we were left is the removal for federal oversights that were put into place in the depression to prevent this kind of financial ruin and the OCC’s claim, based on court decisions, that states were blocked from regulating these mammoth companies.
We need to take back states’ rights to experiment, so that federal regulation is a floor, not a ceiling preventing states from protecting their citizens. What has Obama done to fix the problem? Not enough. The OCC still claims it preempts state law. Obama could appoint new staff to this agency and have them reconsider the relative rights of states and federal agencies.
This is but one example, cell phone companies have tried to get the Federal Communication Commission to preempt most state laws; insurance companies have been lobbying to eliminate state regulation that has protected the insurance industy from; airlines have gotten laws that preempt states from protecting consumers from false advertising and on and on. These laws and regulations don’t get publicity, but have gradually removed most of the states’ rights to protect their citizens.
Every law that goes into effect, supposedly to protect the public, may very well have preemption provisions that in fact tie the hands of state law enforcement officials. We need to be working to undo the preemption provisions!
I was ready to join your movement until I saw the reference to having Glen Beck speak. Any legitimacy that this organization claimed to being non-partisan, went out the window. Sorry, and good luck!
