We are organizing another huge 9/12 Taxpayer March on Washington. In 2009 we rallied hundreds of thousands of people and marched right up to the capitol building in Washington. This year, we are coming back in full force, and we will be focused on one message – TAKE AMERICA BACK in 2010!

This event will be organized by the same coalition that organized the original 9/12 March on Washington — including FreedomWorks, Tea Party Patriots, National Taxpayers Union, The Institute for Liberty and a host of other great free market groups from around the country.

We are still fighting the Obamacare battle and preparing for battles in state legislatures next year. But look for an announcement in a few months about our plans for 2010!

As thousands of grassroots activists descend on the nations capitol for the 9/12 March on DC, we’ve received hundreds of emails and phone calls from activists across the country who would like to attend, but for various reasons are unable to.

Understanding that not everyone can make it to DC, we have decided to put this page together, where activists from across the country can check in regularly for the latest news, photos, tweets, and video.  Click here to follow.

• Bring SMALL plant spray bottles with water to cool off
• DO NOT BRING WATER PISTOLS OR ANYTHING LIKE IT (remember where you are)
• Bring extra water
• Wear loose clothes and a hat or have something to cover your head from the sun (I have used a wet washcloth in the desert)
• Use sun blocking skin crème and lip balm

1.) Do I need a ticket to attend the protest? No. The only reason that we used a ticketing system was to get a better idea for how many people were coming to the event, when they were arriving, and where they were coming from. While a ticket isn’t required for the protest, registration is required for many of the other events happening before. 2.) I’m looking for a bus in my area, can you help? While we would like to help everyone individually, due to limited staff and resources, we cannot handle every request. However, to make it as easy as possible for those looking for bus information, we’ve put together a comprehensive list, which can be found by clicking here. If you don’t see something in your area, don’t forget to look at our social network, which now boasts over 5,000 members. 3.) I’m driving to the protest, where can I park? Since traffic, road closures, and parking are often unpredictable in Washington, DC, we suggest utilizing the Metro, or taking a cab. Tea Party Patriots are storming the Potomac.The conservative activists who staged taxpayer tea parties last spring and packed town-hall-style meetings to rail against “Obama care” this summer plan to march here Saturday to protest what they call out-of-control government spending.

Encouraged by conservative commentators such as Fox’s Glenn Beck and organized virtually on Twitter, Facebook and other social networking sites, the march will constitute “the largest gathering of fiscal conservatives ever,” says Adam Brandon of FreedomWorks. The advocacy group led by former House majority leader Dick Armey is planning the event, although other organizers say theirs is an unprompted movement.

I have to say that the mainstream media has covered this protest even better than some of the conservative blogosphere. As you know, we’ve recently gotten mentions in CNN, The New York Times and The Washington Times. Thanks to everyone for continuing to spread the word. We are only a few days away, and the momentum is continuing to build!

I can’t wait to answer president Obama’s address to Congress with an address of our own this weekend.
