Getting to the Taxpayer March on Washington
Getting to the Protest Site:
The location of the 09.12.09 March on Washington is at the West Front of the United States Capitol, the same location as the Presidential Inauguration.
Since traffic, road closures, and parking are often unpredictable in Washington, DC, we suggest utilizing the Metro, or taking a cab.
The protest location is conveniently located within a short distance of metro stations:
- Blue Line / Orange Line: Federal Center SW (~ 4.5 blocks)
- Red Line: Judiciary Square (~ 5.5 blocks)
- Red Line: Union Station
- Blue Line / Orange Line: Capitol South

Getting to Washington, DC by Airplane:
Washington, DC is conveniently located near three major airports:
- Reagan National (DCA) – 4.2 miles from protest site
- Dulles International (IAD) – 27.9 miles from protest site
- Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) – 32.1 miles from protest site.
If you’re using a travel website like Kayak, Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz, etc, you can use the airport code WAS to search all three airports.
Note: Many airlines offer discounts for groups of 8 or more.
