Anyone know of any bus trips to DC from Baltimore for the March on the Capitol on September 12th?

The Worcester Tea Party has filled one bus and is looking to fill a second bus for the the 912 March on DC. Go to http://www.worcesterteaparty.com for details. Round trip bus is $109 per person. We will also be stopping in Hartford to rally with the Tea Party Express. On the return trip (Sunday, 9/13) we will be stopping for a tour of Independence Hall.

Are there any arrangements made for those in wheelchairs to be active in the events/the march–will there be a ‘wheelchair parade’? Many in wheelchairs are older Americans & vets who have contributed much to our nation, who have plenty reasons to be angry with toady’s government–including the gov trying to push thru death-care reform which will attempt to shorten their lives! Please advise: should they meet any particular place, etc? They can still carry signs! Thank you for organizing this opportunity for Americans to stand up (and roll) and be counted! It’s about time!

The US has the most expensive healthcare system in the world. It is almost twice as expensive as every other developed nation. This is largely due to administrative costs which account for 19-25% of healthcare costs, and up to 34% at for-profit hospitals.
Other than South Africa, America is the only developed country in the world that does not provide healthcare for all of its citizens.
Yet, the US ranks 26th in infant mortality and 24th in the number of healthy years a person can expect to live – putting America’s healthcare system in the company of Cuba and Slovenia rather than Canada and Western European nations.
And, despite ludicrous right-wing anecdotal claims of high dissatisfaction among those who live in countries with universal healthcare, the reality is that, with the exception of Italy, Americans are more dissatisfied with their healthcare than are the citizens of every other developed nation, including England, France, Germany, and Canada. Moreover, US doctors spend less time with patients that do doctors in other nations.
You might want to SWALLOW that hogwash, but we know better. WHERE on earth did you get those ridiculous figures? hahaha MOST AMERICANS are very satisfied with their health CARE! Why would their be so must opposition to a government run system otherwise? Someone is FEEDING you lies, not truth! Try hard to swallow.

Are you kidding me? Where do you go for your healthcare, France, England,Canada or Cuba? This Government doesn’t have a good history for running anything, do you really want them directing your healthcare? No question, this country needs some kind of reform, but Socializing the heathcare because 15% of population (including illegal immigrants) needs coverage is definitely not the answer.
Just look at other FAILED systems this Government has run; Social Security, Medicade, Medicare, Amtrak, US Postal Service, and Veterans Hospitals. Come on, don’t be so ignorant…

Anyone planning on using the wooden put together flagpole from Lowe’s—-don’t put it in your carryon bag as it will be taken at security. I am mailing mine to myself at the hotel I will be staying at along with other needed supplies. I am only taking a carryon bag so cannot put it in a checked bag.
I bought 2 packs and will have holes drilled in it so my flag will stay up–will be carring an American and a
Christian on same pole.
See everyone in DC. Remember, each of us that go to DC will actually be representing not only ourselves but many back home who couldn’t come. I know at least 100 who feel the way I do but they can’t go to DC.

I am wondering if the Mass. group will be meeting anywhere prior to march.
This is all I want as a result of the Tea Party.
1) Pass a law that prohibits you from voting for your own raises. I did not
ask for you to possess such ridiculous authority. You work for me, not for
yourselves. How dare you give yourself a 11% raise when the American people
are in such a state of economic suffering. Then you have the audacity to
complain about corporate executives taking more than their fair share. How
dare you insult my intelligence and mock me while you fatten yourselves with
my hard earned dollars.
2) Repeal the law that authorizes you to not pay into the Social Security
system. Why do you think that you shouldn’t have to pay Social Security
payments. I’ve been paying for thirty years. Why do you think you should
get a free ride?
3) Make English the official language of America. Stop spending billions of
the American tax dollars on multi-language documents and services.
Americans are willing to learn and adapt. Immigrants who are unwilling can
go back to their own country.
4) Abolish the Electoral College. I never asked for this ludicrous scheme
you worked up to proxy my vote.
5) Remove all expense funds that don’t directly relate to your specific job
responsibilities. How dare you use my hard earned dollars to take
unnecessary trips, buy personal items, take your family on vacations. Have
you lost your mind. That is my money you’re spending.
6) Pay your own long-term health premiums. Stop with the free rides. You
are in a part-time job. I’m tired of paying for you what I must pay for
myself. Get your own health insurance, and experience for yourself the pain
I have.
7) Make it law that all American citizens serve the country for two years
after high school. Lots of choices here (e.g., community services, armed
forces). It brings people together and provides common expectations for
work ethic and moral baselines.

you to get off the “Gravy Train” and start working for me. It’s time for
you to get back to the basics and get the job done that you said you were
going to do. So you know, I am trying to find out which of you actually
read the stimulus package before you voted on it. When I do, I will be
sending you another letter. I don’t even know where to start with that.
How could anyone with a brain in their head vote on the largest economic
package ever without reading it? That is a complete avoidance of your
fiduciary responsibility. I should sue the congressmen for my money back.
If you live in NY and run for office, I will vote for you.

Can anyone tell me why the mainstream media does not cover the huge mass of humanity that gathered at the White House on 9/12/09. They treated it like a non-event, 4 seconds of coverage, tops . Serena Williams breaking a tennis racket, at the US open, received more coverage. They tell us what they want us to know and we accept it as if it were law. We then ridicule anyone that asks WHAT IF? I would say that this nation was founded by people that asked WHAT IF. That same question led to many more things that made this nation the country it is today. It led to innovation and American ingenuity plus many more qualities. Many will say that we have lost our edge when it come to innovation and ingenuity, but nobody can discount the many great inventions that became the products of the question WHAT IF?
Where would we be if the great people past and present had listened to the naysayers?
To the many people that marched on DC this Saturday 9/12/09 I personally commend and thank you for keeping the American spirit alive. Never stop asking WHAT IF….
