  1. I am interested in being a part of citizens who are speaking out against the runaway excesses of our goverhment.

    I am in Greenup, Kentucky.

  2. Hi, I am in a suburb of Atlanta. I would be willing to help in large or small ways. I am hoping to be able to come to D.C. in sept., will have to see closer to time.

  3. I think it would be more cost effective if we were to each get 20-40 people to share in the cost of renting a bus to travel to/from DC. We could depart Friday evening, sleep on the bus, check into our hotel/motel in the morning and catch a few hours sleep, then proceed to the city for the event. A block of motel/hotel rooms could be reserved for 1 or 2 nights.

    • Hello,
My family owns and operates a charter bus company. We are planning to provide charter bus service to all interested parties from the Atlanta area. We will keep you posted.

  4. Susan,

    That’s a great idea.

(Will Washington D.C. be able to accommodate a million marchers with that many hotel/motel rooms?)

  5. I would love to see some type of county by county or local coordination of buses taking people to D.C.
    Thoughts??

  6. Hi guys, I’m the founder of LibertyCalls.org and we are pleased to co-sponsor this event. Webmaster, please feel free to list my email up top – libertycalls.org@gmail.com

    Thanks,

  7. Tom S,

That’s a great offer! I’m in Charlotte, NC and would be willing to drive to Atlanta if your charter bus plan comes to fruition to help take activists to D.C. for the 9/12 protests. There definitely needs to be a coordinated regional and national effort to get as many people to D.C. as possible.

    Thx.

    Mark

  8. I have attended both in Orlando, and would not miss DC. Willing to help in any way.

  9. I am located in SC and want to attend but would like to go with a group. Any information on groups going from SC?

  10. Hello to all…I live in Ormond Beach Florida…Daytona Beach..and I just got off the phone with Christine Drawdy..she is handling all the hotel accommodations for the DC March in September. She lives in Tampa. She told me she may have airline discounts but for now it will be only hotel reservations…I could NOT believe the prices…incredibly good…she said to “sign up” with resistnet..with your email and those “registered” with “Resistnet for the DC march in September” will get first dibs on the prices..I cannot believe..prices like Sheraton Suites Alexandria 119.99 a night that sleeps 4 people with kitchen and parlor. Hilton Crystal City directly at Ronald Regan airport $99.00 a night…Hilton Capitol $110.00 a night…and so on…she said the email should be sent out by next week at the latest..shuttles to airport and buses to events are all included..WOW!!! I found airfare from Orlando to Reagan airport WITH TAXES…about $170.00 a person on expedia…I did not ask expedia but only for airfare..I have checked the travel sites for plane/hotel ..wanted to talk to her first..these places normally charge 300 to 500 $ a night…SO???? who wants to share a room with me ..I am 57 years young and been an RN for 35 years..I presently work at Halifax..I am a really cool person…ask anyone I know..respond to this and I will give you my email and phone number or whatever…Fellow Patriot Sandy. Have a fun and SAFE weekend, God Bless each and everyone of us. IMPEACH THEM ALL AND LET US SORT THEM OUT!

    • I live in the Lake Mary area and am looking for a group headed to DC in September. I would be traveling by myself also so I may be interested in splitting expenses with you.

  11. I just got home from a TEA PARTY in Fort Payne, Alabama. We were all talking about going to the March in DC Sept 10 – 12th……. We are hoping to be able to get enough people involved to perhaps rent a bus, and share hotel accomedations. In my case, I have been laid off from my job thanks to this administrations and I AM READY TO MARCH AND HAVE MY VOICE HEARD !!!!!!! Fort Payne, like a lot of towns around the country has been hit hard – a lot of jobs lost. Does anyone know where we could possible get help to pay part of way to DC???? I hate asking for hand-outs, as I know others do, but in my case I don’t know if I can afford to go on just my unemployment. Any advice, I mean any, would be greatly appreciated !!!!!!
God Bless Y’all and God Bless America

  12. We have a number of people in the Tallahassee FL area that are determined to contribute our voices to the event. Has anyone in the area organized a group travel option?

  13. I’m in Mobile and want to go to DC. for the event. Does anyone know if there is going to be a Charter Bus in this area?

  14. I live in Montgomery and have attended both of our Tea Parties and want to go to D.C. in Sept (it will be my b’day present to myself) Do we have a chartered bus or group going?

    • We don’t have a bus going from Montgomery but there is a bus (& maybe 2) leaving from Prattville. It will depart Friday at 6:00 pm (sleep on the bus) and return Saturday at 6:00 pm (again, sleep on the bus). The cost is minimal. Check out wetumpkateaparty.com for further details. There are a number from Montgomery who will be driving up on various days of the week leading up to the march. Our website should be up early next week–montgomeryteapartypatriots.com. Check it out for more information on our specifics.

  15. I’m in Vero Beach Fl and am wondering if any other East Coast Floridians will be attending.

    • Debbie

Looks like there are towns all around you that had TEA parties on the 4th of July. Port St. Lucie had 4..and 1 of them has close to 500 members. I have sent several inquirers to http://www.teapartyday.com This is a great site for helping people know what’s going on in their area. I’m sure there are several planning the trip to DC.
Hope this helps and see you there!

    • Debbie,
I live in DeLand. I saw a post last week from someone who was getting a charter bus from Brevard County to DC. It was to leave on Friday, September 11, arriving in DC Saturday, September 12th around 7 A.M.; then head back to Brevard County on Saturday evening at 7 P.M.
I cannot find that post now, but am asking is anybody knows about this to please let me know.

      • Don’t know if this is the post, but here’s something from DC bus site: Orlando bus: FL Orlando (407)330-3692/903(725)7146(407)461-0815 Tina 11th13th

See DC bus site for FL bus info.

  16. INVITE EVERYONE ACROSS AMERICA WHO LOVES OUR COUNTRY!
NO to the present agenda! We have NO more time to waste with frivolities and entertainment. THIS TIME there must be REAL resistance of every legal kind and in every place of significance. Demonstrations, sit ins, marches, protests, impromptu speeches by the people. People in caravans, motorcades, convoys, processions by biking clubs, truckers, farmers, motor homes. Young and old. Every conceivable club, organization, association should be invited and participate en masse from their home towns to and around DC..everywhere in DC..constantly, and consitently. Special emphasis upon those venues of the FED, IRS, ACORN offices, Banks, Brokers, ..and especially the office buildings of the empowered agendites! VA, VFW, DAR, Sons of the Confederacy, GAR, factory workers, the foreclosed and jobless, small businessmen, ALL people..clubs..groups who love America, the Constitution and LIBERTY!
NOto entertainment and partying! THIS TIME it’s for real! Enough of silly hats and frivolous signs. There must be a clear agenda of ALL that concerns us..what the key points are, what they mean, why people should care, what is REALLY the ageda and who is behind it! What is really happening to America and what will this mean to AMERICANS. Who has benefitted from or losses? Shout it on the streets, from the rooftops, from your cars! Why have our representatives betrayed us? Why does Obama hate America? Why do some like the bankers and Goldman Sachs get “special” treatment? We tried parties, peaceful tea parties! They didn’t work. Now the people must rise up, take off the gloves and SCREAM forth the truth in many ways and many places so that the truth WILL be heard. The REVOLUTION against GREED, CORRUPTION, LIES, DECEIT, and the sacrifice of AMERICA and American PEOPLE nationally and internationally STOPS TODAY!

  17. Last week, I saw information concerning a possible charter bus from Brevard County Florida to DC for the Tea Party. I cannot find that post now. Does anybody have information about this?

  18. Hello to all,
I am in North Alabama. We have buses leaving from Hartselle and Athens. If interested, contact me at dking2@charter.net or 256 559-0980 or go to our Registration Website http://www.shoals2dc.webs.com
    Prices start at $187.00.
    Thanks,
    Deborah

  19. Anyone from the Orlando area going??? Anyone taking a bus??

  20. Trying to find out information on the bus from Peachtree City, GA. Are there any seats left? Saw the price, but didn’t understand if it was Friday and Saturday in the room and Sunday drive back. Who is coordinating this and when do we need to reserve by ? I am thinking of flying on Airtran for $74 each way(w/o fees) and then getting a room. Is anyone flying up to DC from Atlanta and want to connect ?

    • I am also considering driving. My drawback is I am thinking of taking my little dog. I live in Rockmart, but can drive and meet you somewhere.
I will try to find a dog-sitter, but if not, there are several Washington hotels that accept small pets. I just wasn’t sure if you were a dog person or not. ???

  21. We are tring to find out some information about unloading our petitions near the Capitol or in the vendor area on 9/12. Can anyone help me with information. These petitions are for Congress from various states and will be received by Congressmen. As of this date, the Capitol Police have not returned calls. Does anyone from DC area have more information? Here is the link for rolling petition information: http://taylorteaparty.com/rollingpetition.aspx

  22. Stand up for America and stand up for the Constitution!

See you all there on September 12th!!

  23. I plan on going to the march in DC even if I have to walk to DC!

  24. A wise man once said, “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil, is good men do nothing.” (Edmund Burke). For our continued liberty in our country, we must take this quote seriously, because EVIL will prevail, if we don’t–it is happening before our eyes. There are people that are trying to destroy it from within. So all that is in my power, I will try to be there on 9/12, even if I have to drive all night. I live in North Alabama and would like to help in whatever way I can to get the word out, help organize a group event to get folks there! Do something folks and let your voice heard to keep our great country free! If you can’t do anything else–PRAY!

  25. Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” Matthew 22:15-22

  26. Hi all,
There is one thing I hope we all remember about the 9-12 march and rally and that is what its original intent was.

Glenn Beck in his kickoff of the 9-12 project referred to the great sense of unity this country felt the day after the 9-11 attack. It was his intent, and mine also, that this gathering reflect that sense of unity – not just with other 9-12′ ers, but with all the citizens of this great country. I fear the political divides that exist today will override this original intent. Please keep this in mind and God bless.

    Paul
    Dover, TN

    • Paul you are absolutely right. We must remember that we are not going to DC to just protest government spending. We must stand together. As the 9/12 site says – Unite or Die. Let us remember that we are all AMERICANS. We are not liberals, conservatives, democrats, republicans, etc.

We are Americans and we will stand together.

This country would not be if our Founding Fathers did not stress the point that we must stand together. Ther 13 colonies had to work together to defeat the British.

As Americans we too must stand together at this time not only to tell Congress how we feel but also to help one another.

      Remember September 12, 2001.

  27. The North Georgia Patriots and the Tea Party of Gilmer County have joined together and are taking two 55 passenger buses to DC. We have folks from Murphy, NC, Robbinsville, NC, Hiawassee, Ga, Young Harris, Ga, Blairsville, Ga, Blue Ridge, Ga, Ellijay, Ga, Cherokee County, Ga, Cartersville, Ga, Cobb County, Ga, Calhoun, GA and etc. Our voices and images will be added to the multitude’s expressing our concern over the direction our country seems to be taking. Over taxing and over spending has to stop. See you in DC.

    • Hello…
I live in Dawsonville, GA. My neighbor and myself would like to go with your group. Do you still have any empty bus seats left? If so, please send me all related information.

      Thank you,
      Paul Bedard

    • Are you all booked up yet? I am going back and forth between driving and taking my small dog or flying and taking her along or getting a pet-sitter. She is a terribly friendly 10 lb. Jack Russell named Maggie and would love to be our mascot!

  28. Hello friends & True Americans of these the great United States!! I am looking for any information about ways and times people will be leaving for D.C. I am a nurse and I will not be able to leave until the night before. on 9/11/09. If anyone can get this information to be I would be grateful.

  29. here you go:

National Day of Service and Remembrance

Please take a moment now to post your personal plan to perform a good deed, volunteer or engage in another charitable activity in observance of the newly established September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. Help create a wonderful legacy that honors the victims and those who rose to service in response to the attacks on America.

    http://911dayofservice.org/

guess cheney forgot to tell bush it was his job to set up a national day of remembrance.

  30. the organizer of your protest has a history of starting trouble:

“Brendan Steinhauser was the Washington, D.C. chapter leader of the right-wing protest group, Protest Warrior. He led the counter-protest against the anti-war movement’s mobilization on September 24, 2005. The group’s confrontational and provocative methods have caused incidents at numerous peace rallies. Steinhauser also led an “infiltration” of a peace rally in San Diego in March of 2005, and protests of Michael Moore in Crawford, Texas and San Diego, California. He brags about making short films of his provocative “infiltrations” and distributes them to other activists. ”

  31. North Carolinians will be travelling by bus, plane, train, and cars from all over the state, arriving at different times. The meet-up plan for now, is those of us going up early, will be at Freedom Plaza somewhere near the fountain, between 8:00-8:30, with NC flags flying above the crowd. So look for us, if you can.

There are buses coming from Morehead City, from Asheville, from Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Raleigh-Durham, Hickory, Burlington, Fayetteville, and other towns. There are people coming on Amtrak, people taking Greyhound buses, and people caravaning in their cars. We’ve worked with GOE to get laptops and webcams donated for the Wounded Warrior wards at both Walter Reed and Bethesda. They will be presented on Friday and Sunday.

If you are going to drive in on Sat. morning, be sure to bring water and food. It’s looking like it could be a major traffic jam to get into the city, so come as early as you can.

Also, please have the leaders of your group contact me. We need to exchange phone numbers. If there are 50 thousand people are more, Freedom Plaza will certainly not hold us, so we need to plan on a secondary meeting place. I will post again tomorrow, but I’m thinking in front of the Treasury Building or at Pershing Park, which is a block down from Freedom Plaza at 15th and Pennsylvania.

  32. This is all I want as a result of the Tea Party.

    Congress,

    1) Pass a law that prohibits you from voting for your own raises. I did not
ask for you to possess such ridiculous authority. You work for me, not for
yourselves. How dare you give yourself a 11% raise when the American people
are in such a state of economic suffering. Then you have the audacity to
complain about corporate executives taking more than their fair share. How
dare you insult my intelligence and mock me while you fatten yourselves with
    my hard earned dollars.

    2) Repeal the law that authorizes you to not pay into the Social Security
system. Why do you think that you shouldn’t have to pay Social Security
payments. I’ve been paying for thirty years. Why do you think you should
    get a free ride?

    3) Make English the official language of America. Stop spending billions of
the American tax dollars on multi-language documents and services.
Americans are willing to learn and adapt. Immigrants who are unwilling can
go back to their own country.

    4) Abolish the Electoral College. I never asked for this ludicrous scheme
you worked up to proxy my vote.

    5) Remove all expense funds that don’t directly relate to your specific job
responsibilities. How dare you use my hard earned dollars to take
unnecessary trips, buy personal items, take your family on vacations. Have
you lost your mind. That is my money you’re spending.

    6) Pay your own long-term health premiums. Stop with the free rides. You
are in a part-time job. I’m tired of paying for you what I must pay for
myself. Get your own health insurance, and experience for yourself the pain
    I have.

    7) Make it law that all American citizens serve the country for two years
after high school. Lots of choices here (e.g., community services, armed
forces). It brings people together and provides common expectations for
    work ethic and moral baselines.

Establish a law that elected officials can only serve two terms. It will
reduce the risk of temptation to become corrupt and approve laws for self
interest. Do you think I’m a fool? The Alaskan Senator Ted Stevens is as
guilty as Madoff. The judicial system you created let him off on a
technicality. You make me sick. Ted Stevens was stealing from the Alaskan
people for years. He lost his morale compass and doesn’t even know it, or
    he is a damn liar.

    9) Bring back “In God We Trust” to every corner of America. This country
was founded on God and hard work. Keep it that way.

I want results, and I want them NOW. Next, I will be looking more closely
at all the other laws that give you preferential treatment. It’s time for
you to get off the “Gravy Train” and start working for me. It’s time for
you to get back to the basics and get the job done that you said you were
going to do. So you know, I am trying to find out which of you actually
read the stimulus package before you voted on it. When I do, I will be
sending you another letter. I don’t even know where to start with that.
How could anyone with a brain in their head vote on the largest economic
package ever without reading it? That is a complete avoidance of your
fiduciary responsibility. I should sue the congressmen for my money back.

  33. I need a bus from winston-salem. Can you help me?
